Hi I am new to this forum. It is good to have someone to talk to about this issue that affects so many men. Lets start out with the big one question first. What doens't work to combat hair loss and what does and where can I get it at an affordable price? My hair is falling out more on my left side of my head not at the front or crown. It started to fall out 7 months ago. I have ordered generic propecia from In House Pharmacy yesterday. I heard a lot of good thing about it but I want to be sure as to what to use. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Let's see, drinking pop certainly does NOT work for combatting hairloss. j/k. I don't see how that question can really be answered. Everybody responds to things differently so if you stick with the most known treatments for hairloss you should be fine. Those of course being the Big 3 with finasteride/minoxidil/ketoconazole shampoo. Then I'd say the next big 2 after that would be topical spironolactone and Retin-A.

There's also an all natural regimen that somebody dubbed IH Top 6 that some people use and seem to like. I personally like Saw Palmetto and B-Sitosterol naturals while others deem them "worthless". Heck to some people minoxidil is worthless so if you just get on the Big 3 and go from there you should be fine. I don't think some master list of "What works" and "what doesn't work" would be fair to make because we're individuals and our body chemistry responds to treatments differently than others. ZIX is another good example. Some people swear by it and some people hate it.

Being that you're a Chicagoan I have heard that eating hot dogs w/ketchup WILL help combat hairloss! ;) (it's a joke, Chicago thing)

Does drinking pop cause hair loss?

I drink a lot of RC and Coke Cola. I have been drinking it for a long time. I have noticed waking up with the taste in my mouth. Could that much acid in one system hurt your hair? I tried months ago to find research on this topic but couldn't. Then I see your post and it get me to start thinking again.

lol, I was simply joking. Though I will tell you that all of that high fructose corn syrup will not be good for your health and can't be doing anything to HELP your hair. If you're drinking the diet variety I wouldn't doubt that the crap aspartame and sucralose breaks down into could have some negative effect on hair follicles. I don't drink pop anymore but I miss RC!
