What Happened To Other Guys You Know With Hair Loss?

I've recently met with two friends from high school met after a long time. They both were very active on Facebook after high school, one was kinda ugly but started improving himself and always saw pictures with him and girls. Another one started losing weight and gaining muscle and was posting pictures with him shirtless on the beach with his girlfriends. I was thinking "this guys made it" but the updates stopped after a while and their only activity lately is liking other girls pictures.

Now I know why, they are losing their hair pretty bad and quite fast. It crushed me inside to see them. It all makes sense now. These guys aren't fat, one is thin and a above average height and one is ripped and of average height. They both dress nice. What more can they do?

Why do you think I got off of facebook in the first place?? We can all guess.

In terms of people I know with hair loss: one guy I admire tremendously. He used to be a true friend of mine yet he handled hair loss better than anyone. He started losing his hair in high school, yet he shaved it all off, grew a goatee, and did become a bad-***. He became confident (actually he always was) and has a beautiful wife now. He did what preachy fullheads on here talk about other guys doing, but could never do themselves. I really wish I had this former friend's balls but I don't think most hair loss sufferers do. Sure, we see bald guys all the time. At work, at the deli, at the movies, etc. They appear to be moving about with their lives but we really do not know what goes on in their heads. For instance, I was at the gym the other night and me and a fully bald guy (maybe late 40's) were loudly bantering about American football. Your casual observer would never guess that I was bothered by my own hair loss because I didn't wear it on my sleeve, which most guys do not. So therefore it is tough to gauge a person's reaction to baldness unless you know them personally. Actually if I wasn't such a rocker, I wouldn't mind looking like a younger version of the guy with whom I was bantering.

In terms of some of my other friends, two of them are hat prisoners, two I never see without bandanas, one of them got a wig at the slightest sign of hair loss, and another has a bouffant wig. One of them is a complete live wire who doesn't seem to let hair loss affect him but you never know since he's a new friend and I don't know him all that well. One seems to function well despite his hair loss yet he's been married for many years so he therefore doesn't need to worry about what women think of his outer looks. I truly believe that most men are indeed negatively affected by hair loss and it's incredibly unbelievable that in today's day and age, we do not have a cure for this bullsh*t.

Damn, Fred. That's so brutal, I can't even hit the Like button. It hurts. Meanwhile it's wedding season on my facebook feed, NW1s everywhere and a few with very minor hair loss. Man, I've never seen such perfect hairlines in my life, some didn't even had those triangles even non balding men have.

For all of them, no exceptions:

- They stopped posting pictures on social media (they all have a celebrity or a lolcat instead)

- They're forever alone

For some of them:

- They attempted gymcelling, in vain

- They turned to alcohol to drown their problems

One of them:

- Committed suicide, after doing all the above, except gymcelling

Could you please elaborate on how you got your PHD in BaldBullshittery?

I just want to know because it's all "without exception".

Pretty much all of them stopped posting photos on Facebook. Only two that still do are a weird scenario; one of them only does it because he's constantly wearing a driver cap (hat prisoner!) and the other guy doesnt seem to care despite looking like the DJ from Airwave;

And it makes you really wonder if these women would've married these guys if they were NW5's as opposed to NW1's. Again, we all probably know the answer to that one.

I know one guy on my facebook who is very self conscious and a hat prisoner...the others that I can think of all have successful lives and nice girlfiends/wives. Oh and one is gay and probably the most promiscious guy in the world.

None of the guys I know who are balding seem to be aware of it yet, so they're still going full blast.

One guy I worked with a couple years ago, back when I was still NW0 told me "I"ve already decided that once this starts going (his hair), I'm shaving it off! But maybe they'll have something they can do for that by then." He said this as a NW3, but he didn't realize it had been "going" for a while. I saw some profile pic of him on facebook recently and he still hasn't shaved it off despite it getting worse. So he either realizes it now and isn't so keen on the "just shave it" thing like he thought he would be, or he's still not bothered to look at old photos of himself.

I just want to know because it's all "without exception".

The only way it's not BS is if Fred knows very few people.

He doesn't know any bald men posting pictures or in relationships?

lol.

How does anybody believe this?

Then again he's 26 and I'm 32, I know more bald and receding men than he does. He might just be talking about 2 or 3 guys and that would explain it.

So without further ado ...

One slick bald guy (he shaves it) constantly posts about his three kids, the women he's seeing, and the two businesses he runs in health food and in music instruction.

Another guy slick bald posts a lot about politics and a little about his social life. He just announced his engagement.

A third guy who is ~Nw3 posts a lot about politics, and about his travels. He used to work in the financial sector but now he works in international investment, mostly in Africa.

A 4th guy, ~NW4, posts sporadically about his hobbies.

A 5th guy, ~Nw4 as well, posts about his hobbies, his family, his travels. His hot wife will be giving birth to a baby soon, I know him because she works three offices from me now. At a Christmas party two years ago, I told (other) friends I considered her the sexiest woman at my work.

A 6th guy talks a lot about urban development in Atlanta (where he lives), and recently got ~300+ likes because he married this gorgeous woman in her late 20s.

A 7th guy, ~NW5, posts the most uninteresting garbage on a regular basis and gets 50+ likes every time. He is from India.

And so on and so forth.

No hat prisoners.

Typical age: 30-35.

I hear ya. If I had a nickel for everyone who says what they WOULD do, but has never actually done it themselves, then I wouldn't have to work for a living. Lots of people do not even notice their hair loss when it is relatively minor (like an NW2 or even an NW3 if it is thick) since such minor hair loss is not going to erode anyone's looks. Every full-headed guy with whom I have confided my hair loss issues to has said the same thing. How they WOULD shave it all off if it got too bad, yet they'd never even shave their head bald for even a single day. Naivete is bliss, and it's easy to preach when you come from a position of privilege. It's a walking contradiction. I really wish we had some truly bald guys who would come on here and give positivity speeches. Then, I'd believe them and I'd commend them.

I feel like a lot of guys out there don't do anything.

I know a good handful of guys who are still progressing, and don't appear to have took control of there situation.

Mostl are hat prisoners.

A lot of people don't even seem to know what's available, like all they know of is rogaine and bosley.

Pretty crazy with how easy it is to do research on the internet.
