cannot possibly manifest after one pill

Do you mean that side effects in general can't manifest after one pill, or that some specific side effects can't show up that early. Because my gyno (which might be just paranoia, I admit) took many months to show up, but sexual side effects were rather noticeable for me less than 24 hours after my first pill.

Considering how quickly your own (alleged) sexual side effects occur after taking finasteride (less than 24 hours), have you considered doing a placebo-controlled test on yourself to prove it?

If it wasn't for the internet, then we would have to rely on the word of the mouth.

I had a friend who visited a hair clinic in the 90s. He had a few sessions with them but he didn't follow it up. He's NW6 now.

Recently I was talking to him about hairloss, there was a hint of a regret in his voice that he didn't follow up his treatment. If it wasn't for the internet, he would have been my source of information.

Also, one of my cousins who is an MD told me that I could use topical lotions to fight hairloss.

I agree without the Internet it would have been different, but word of the mouth is also a powerful tool.

If that clinic was AHS or laser then your freind is lucky the only difference would be that he'd be alot poorer.

To the title of this thread: :(

To Bryans comment: I would get serious migraines consistently within 24 hours of starting finasteride. To the point of being in fetal position on my couch. Sexual side effects however, I agree, more than likely impossible in 24 hours.

I will let you know if the Internet helped me save my hair. What I get from this site is people talking about the same problem I have. Possible ways to try to save the hair and many scares in regards to side effects of certain products. This site has made it easy for me to search for solutions to my problem, whether they work or not, that I probably would just accept as life had sites like this not been around. I started Rogaine foam a couple weeks ago, here's to hoping it works. I'm afraid to try anything that is ingested like Propecia and Proscar, etc..But then I hear some people talk about how it's been a God send to their head...so I'm torn.

How would I do such a test? Keep in mind the sexual side effects never disappeared, even though I stopped taking finasteride 8 months ago.

Well, if you still have the (alleged) side effects, then doing a placebo-controlled trial would be pointless. Nevermind.

good question.. I'd probably be stressing about it because I don't know how to get help.. At some point I'd probably accept that I'm going bald.. Thankfully, I feel good that I'm doing something about it and I am seein results.. Going thin is the last thing in my mind these days.

I think these forums are vital.... specially to men ....how many female related forums are there ???? they dont need many cos they are programmed differently to us ....and have no problem talking to each other about their most inmate details the amount of time ive over heard woman rabbiting on about their special toys !!!ive never had a detailed discussion with my mates about shaving never mind my sheer fear about hair loss ... keep it up
