The way I see it, the wealth that I have is for the children. People get to age 50 with over a million in savings all the time. And for what? The purpose of life isn't to live it well, surely. Even now, there is nothing that I want to spend any money on; I just save or invest and I don't know what I'm saving for. Is there really a reason why you need or want to be wealthy or is it just the idea of wealth that attracts you? As for independence, I feel like life is about taking responsibility and being responsible for things. So a life of not having responsibilities seems, to me, empty. Isn't it interesting that providence chose to make it so that I can't have a family but you can?
