Ive been to 3 different doctors.

1st said i had a little dandruf and he prescribed a gel to put on head.

2nd doctor was specialized in skin problems and he said i have a mild psoriasis and gave me a new gel. And told me to use head and shoulders..

3rd doctor said i didnt have either and i was barely red on scalp, but said i should use minoxil (name?).

Its mainly focused on the front-top of my head and on the top of the head.

It feels like my doctors dont have the knowledge about this, but wont admit that and just end up saying false stuff.

Please tell me what you think, im losing hair so fast cuz of this s*it... :(

Not an expert by any means, but it might be a fungal infection or some sort of scarring alopecia, the only way to know more certainly is to get a scalp biopsy.

That does not look like seborrheic dermatitis to me based on the research I've done and personal experience with it.

What could it be then? And why not seborrheic?

Well you do have some yellowish flakes that are consistent with seb derm, but the red, inflamed, raised skin is not consistent with seb derm as far as I know. Is it possible you have an allergic reaction to a shampoo or something?

Other questions- how long have you had this skin condition? Is it all over your scalp? Is it painful? Are you shedding a lot?

I'm not an expert by any means but have you considered the scarring alopecias as a possible cause of what's going on with your scalp?

Ive had problems with my scalp for probably 3-4 years. Never understood what it could be and never did anything about it. Ive lost a lot of hair on top of head yes, still losing every day.

Its usually not even red like it is now, i got no clue what it could be. Ive read somewhere that eating sugar and candy etc makes it worse.

All flakes disappeared when i started using head and shoulders classic as my skindoctor suggested. I recently tried h&s "for thick hair" because my "classic" was empty, maybe that made it worse?

I dont feel like h&s is a real treatment tho.

It mostly on top of my head and front-top, on hairline mainly. And only where i have hair, not anywhere else. Im a little red on some areas on top of head, my hairdresser told me.

It doesnt hurt but it itch a lot if i accidentaly scratch it a little.

I dont rly itch anymore but i have, and i think i can recall it being a tiny bit of wetness. How do you treat it? And have you gotten better?

And also, ive read it can get worse if you eat sugar/candy. Is it like that for you?

Because i did eat candy this weekend and on sunday/monday i had the outbreak. Maybe a coincidense.

Yes, betnovat, daivobet like 5 times applied only and now i just bought fungoral.

After i used fungoral the red areas became dried "crusts" instead. Doesnt itch so i guess it helped.

Not to scare you, but psoriasis could be a sign of diabetes. (Notice, I said could, some
people just have scalp problems).

Ive taken bloodsugar tests and everything was normal so i doubt its diabetes. I dont rly think its psoriasis anymore either. Might be SD. But ofc i really dont know.

Thing about it is is that psoriasis typically has bleeding when picked (Auspitz sign) and seborrheic dermatitis usually is more yellow. Either way I'd try some antifungal shampoos like Nizoral and also try Head and Shoulder's like your doctor said and see how you're doing then.
