So from what Ive researched. buying hair systems from online shops like hair direct, farrell hair, and holywood lace is a terrible idea. the systems are usually low quality and don't last long. I'm not interested in buying from these people.

however smaller salons generally take good care of their customers and provide quality products (depending on the salon) Unfortunately I live in a terrible country and hairsystems are hard to find here, and the ones you do find are horrendous. So im planning on contacting smaller salons online and buy Hair systems directly from them instead.

what was in your experience the best salons that provided you with the highest quality systems? and how do I contact them?

I don't think that's true really. I can't speak about Hollywood Lace, but Farrell produce high quality pieces at very high prices. The problem is not with the quality; it's with the price and maybe the value for money. He has positioned his brand as a luxury item: if you want to feel like you're wearing the same hairpiece as Ben Affleck, you go there and pay top dollar. One guy feels better if he buys his underpants from Yves San Luigi and another guy is OK with a four-pack of Jockeys for a twentieth of the price. They're both made in the same factory in China, but that's consumerism for you.

Hair Direct is significantly more expensive than places like Coolpiece and Toplace, but the quality is OK - not fabulous, but OK. With them, you are paying a premium for a bit of hand-holding (by phone) and the fact they cut the piece in before you get it, so you are spared the trouble / embarrassment of going to a local barber or salon and having to disclose you wear a hairpiece.

Buy a stock unit, preferably from a small company that gives a c*ap - it will give you a good idea on what you need and for cheap. Your stock unit may be a good match, and it will give you time to experiment with the density and hair color. I would avoid "big" hair piece companies.

As what a lot of other DIYers say, keep salon involvement to the minimum - most overcharge and frankly take advantage. Find a decent stylist who knows what they're doing, who's willing to work and listen to you.

I got a stock system this week (for the first time) from NWL - it's definitely worth it but it takes time and effort to tweak to give it the best look. Go on Youtube and hair system forums and soak in the knowledge. I am in the process of adjusting it.
