It's different for everyone, but I really like Dr P's NANO shampoo and conditioner. Thickens very well.

I actually mean cosmetically also, since it's too early to say what NANO shampoo has done for my hair growth/thickness

didn't you just say that it "thickens well?" alos, if it has minoxidil like stimulators, then would cause a minoxidil like shed as well?

Yes, i did say that. "Thickens well" meaning cosmetically, like any other thickening shampoo. After you use it, it makes your hair look thicker.

I don't know, it could cause a shed i guess. But i'd say count yourself lucky if it does, as that means it will be affecting your hair very strongly, and you will most likely regrow hair. Personally i think its more of an extender for Prox-n/proxiphen, to get more NANO onto your scalp, and if you're not using those it probably wont do much, or you use it very frequently.

Here’s my top 10 list:

1-. Aveda – Pure Abundance - shampoo & conditioner (thank you Cassin)
2-. Jason – Thin to Thick (if I use it every day I get pimples on my scalp)
3-. Dr. Proctor - Nano shampoo
4-. La Roche Posay – Kerium Intensif (Salicylic Acid & Piroctone Olamine) + Nizoral
(I’m using this combo 2 x week)
5-. Spencer Forrest - Toppek - shampoo & conditioner
6-. Matrix – Amplify
7-. Redken - Densify
8-. Vichy – Capillary Re-pompler Volume Shampoo
9-. Kerastase - Volumeactive
10-. Sebastian – Body Double (the best volumizer, but it leaves your hair feeling like straw)

I didn’t buy all the salon shampoos, I try to get free samples to try them out. And I’ve stopped using thickening shampoos, I now prefer to use something that could be beneficial (e.g. Nano shampoo). I just use them on special occasions, and for some reason they lose their magic if I use them continuously (all but Nano).

Every Sunday I wash my hair as follows:
- Jason’s Tea Tree Oil (Apply 10 drops on scalp) –leave in for 5 min. then rinse.
- Apple Cider Vinegar – ¼ ACV mixed with ¼ water - leave in for 5 min. then rinse
- Neutrogena – Anti-Residue Formula Shampoo – Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

This leaves my hair feeling great, like no other shampoo, and it cleanses your hair and scalp of all the crap that we use throughout the week. (Be prepared for some stinking, stinging and tingling).

Wow, the above post should be made into a sticky for future reference :p

Seriously though, with a good shampoo you worry so much less about your hair loss (...because your hair looks great)

No contest...after trying everything our there (with no thought for expense) the best shampoo in terms of cosmetic appearance is undoubtedly MARC ANTHONY INSTANTLY THICK SHAMPOO.

His instantly thick fibre putty is also the best of it's kind
