What Is The Correct Way To Shed On finasteride?

I’m 2-3 months in to Topical finasteride and I am shedding so so much. I’m taking it in stride as much as I can for now, knowing this is the correct time to shed. But what should shedded hair look like?

I’m shedding-
Thin hair
Thick hair
Long hair
Short hair
Kinked weird shaped hair
Long straight hair
Some with bulbs at the end
Some not

Also a lot if not most the hair is thinner at the root then the tip, is this a concern?

So my main concern is I’m one of those bad responders who shed worse than you’re supposed to. Hyper androgenic something?

I have small hairs coming across my scalp.. but I’m not sure if these are miniaturised or new hair.

If anyone can shed some light, that would be great.
Thanks

These types of questions are impossible to answer.

Time is the only way you'll find out.

Things can improve or get substantially worse.

I would not give it past 6-8 months. The real horror stories are when people wait a year or longer hoping for a miraculous turn around,

I don't think you should have gone on this drug.

Not a wise decision at all given the initial state of your hair.

Now you are pretty much stuck on it as well.

What do you mean hes "stuck" on it? He can always quit it if it doesn't do anything

In the first pic I see a full head of Norwood 0 hair, by the last there are chunks missing from the scalp and hairline all over

Maybe it's the lighting or styling, but from the pics I saw no need for finasteride in the first place.

Also op,
How much are you shedding?

It seems to have MAYBE slow down this week. I believe possible 150 hairs a day when it was bad. First month was okay and I understand this to shed heavily in the second is quite on track for finasteride. However it just seems quite severe, maybe it’s noticeable because I have curly hair or because it’s quite long. But definitely have a taken a hit, just now it’s either gonna get better or worse.

Thank you for your response.

Very true. I have lots of smaller hairs coming through on scalp but I don’t know If it’s new hair or miniaturised hair.
