What Is This Weird Finastride Textured Hair? Feels Like A Wig.

Hi
Ive made a few recent posts about my hair felt really different after i took finastride. Its like as soon as the finastride kicked in and there was a shed my whole hair texture changed to a strange kinky, soft, wispery hair.
Please bare in my mind i have the opposite side effect of a low libido that many people experience and have an increased libido instead beacuse of the finastride, which leads me to beilieve its doing damage to my hair as people have mentioned there can be to much androgen activity at your scalp, followed by DHT follicle sensitivity. Do i need my dick to be limp for this stuff to work??

Some informative opinions would be greatly appreciated.

shedding phase
ride it out

What do you think of this case study below, i feel like i have this because of the sides of the finastride? (Increased libido& shed around hairline) i really want to get to the bottom of this issue because my hair feels stable but just this has this weird texture now. Anyone has an answer to this please?

This is a case study someone posted on a previos thread:
" It is caused mainly by an androgen imbalance. A majority of the scalp hair fibers are getting distorted by the raised hormone and are therefore strange-looking. They look like pubic/axillary hairs.

I have taken a hormonal test (see photo) and it appears that I have extremely raised DHEA levels (57 as opposed to the maximum level of 35) as well as a slightly raised Androstendione hormonal level. One of these two might be causing this disorder, (as well as the constant acne and irritated skin that I have).

If its on the back and sides of your head, its usually whisker hair.

Its mainly on the top.
I think im having a bad reaction from finastride.
Last night kept me up as scalp had that burning sensation and it feels bumpy on my scalp like the folicles are inflammed, also noticed an increase in body hair. However, loosing less hairs in the shower.
Do i need to get of finastride?

Hey try using nizoral, and possibly cut down to .5mg of finasteride. It should help but I dont think finasteride is the main culprit of whats going on. If it is the culprit, I've heard of people getting odd reactions to finasteride but lowering their doses and riding out until it clears up then going back to 1mg. Nizoral will definitely help.

Ok cheers.
My symptoms and sides are the same from alot of people who regretted taking fina. On the one hand loosing less hair unless its a shed but on the other hand not usual sides which leaves me to worry

But these sides im having are not the norm which other people have.
Increasd libido when i take it
Incresed sebum production
Hands can get turn red and sensitive
That burning sensation with tingling is the worst, my follicles feel strong but inflammed &bumpy.
I really think my body cant hack this drug.

Maybe try getting off of it for awhile, until your cleared up. Then if you're willing. Slowy take it again. Like maybe 1mg every couple days. Or .25mg evry day. But i strongly recommend using nizoral. I think it will really help you.

I will start usimg nizoral from today.
Im willing to ride it out i hope but i cant find from peoples previous threads with the same sides saying things have improved. I wish someone with the same sides could help me get through this if things got better

Oh god go cut your hair man

Trust me pal i thought about it many times if it would help, but with long hair or most haircuts your meant to trim the breakage/ dead ends till the hair looks even and thick. My hairs arent breaking, if i chop those wispery hairs it will still be same density but just short wispy hairs.

Some doghnut trichologist pulled my hair up said its breakage when it clearly cant all be breakage, he just couldnt acknowledge the fact that finastride had this effect on my hair. Its crazy to think these hair experts know less what there talking about then most of the people on this forum. Its like they just have the same generic response to there patients about the sides, stuff you can read on the side of the packaging. Do there years of expertise not help them maybe find the root cause of the problem, dismissing any other problems just shows your an arrogant twat who just has a certificate of there qualification framed on the wall so they can just take your money.

The best i can hope for that this telogen effluvium state type of hair all sheds but unfortnutely it just feels very stable across the sides back and front.
Im fucked

Hey long hair isn't so bad. Mine is pretty long. I wish you the best of luck with your hair loss journey. Man f*** hairloss. I really hope one day hair cloning will be a thing and hopefully cheap.
