A topical anti androgen is a liquid you apply to the head like minoxidil, only an anti androgen blocks DHT, just like proscar...only in topical form.

A toppical anti androgen either blocks the androgen receptors of the hair follicles or blocks the formation of DHT. Good examples for such toppicals are Spironolactone and Fluridil. Both blocks the receptor. As for DHT inhibitors you have acid azelaic, nizoral etc.

minoxidil isn't an anti-androgen. It doesn't block androgens it simply stimulates growth.
