What is your current weekly finasteride regimen? Looking to start...

Quick backstory...stabilized my hair loss for 10 years, then tried to regrow with minoxidil. It has left my hair not only worse, but now with an incurable form of scarring alopecia called folliculitis decalvans, yay!! Quick disclaimer, it might just be a grand coincidence but I never had any scalp issues whatsoever before minoxidil, then had a bunch on it...

Anyways, my hair is the worst its ever been. I'm taking steps to reduce the FD, but I need to stop my hair loss before it gets worse, and am looking into getting on finasteride.
I would love to hear everyone's regimen. I.e. how much you take per dose, and how often are you taking it? And what have been your experiences with it (side effects, stabilization, regrowth)?

Taking 1mg daily, since 2000. Hair stable, very little loss. Only lost hair anytime I decided to lower the dose (say, 0.5mg for a few months). Every time I go back on 1mg per day, hair loss stops.

If finasteride is all you use. You got very very mild hairloss.

Not necessarily, but it does helps if you are a slow receder.
I would be very bald now, without finasteride.

Yes apart from my crown seems intact, So I would have next to no hair on the front & midsection of my scalp.

1mg ED stops my hairloss but with minor sides. 0.5mg ED causes me to shed but sides disappeared. 1mg EOD is in between those two options. Having said that, I'm not off oral finasteride entirely and on topical finasteride/min...better efficacy than 1mg ED and zero sides.

I thought you were just on topical finasteride ONLY?
