What kind of Hair Loss do I have? My hair has been thinning for maybe the past 5 or 6 years. I am currently 22 years old. I bought Rogaine and was about to use it, but it said it was not meant for frontal hair loss.

I just got a hair cut and took a shower and took some pictures:

But obviously your crown has thinned more than the rest of the top, which appears to be diffuse.

In your shoes, I would start Finasteride, Minoxidil and Nizoral right away.

It's possible you can save your hair.

You can use minoxidil on your temples. It does work for a lot of people, but not all.

I would start on minoxodil (rogaine) all over, and propecia right now.

If you don't, you'll probably lose it all in the next few years.

My hairloss is similar. You have diffuse hairloss, your hairline looks ok from what I can see. I would get rid of that army haircur though, Get a 4 on top and 2 on the sides.

@reckless: I've got a 6 on top and a 1 on the sides. It used to look better when I had more hair, but I guess I've stuck with it too long. Think I should go shorter on the top?

Since you have similar hair loss, how has using Minoxidil and Nizoral worked for you?

To everyone else: Thanks! I've got Minoxidil and I'm going to get Nizoral from the store, as far as getting Finasteride, what kind of Doctor would I need to see? I dont have a regular Doctor, so I would need to make an appointment with one. Would I go to a dermatologist? Also, anyone know how much it costs?
