What now?

I took Propecia with no side effects other than the occasional testicular ache for around a year. My hair stopped thinning out and looked much thicker and more heathy. After one year though, I started to notice serious sexual side effects that developed after a few months into almost total impotence. Horrified, I stopped taking propecia and took multivitamins and minerals, extra zinc and garlic tabs. Slowly I have recovered and I would say that now, around five months later, I am more or less recovered sexually, which has come as a great relief.

I'm now wondering what I can do now to stop my hairloss. I have noticed my hair stared to thin again now due to stopping the propecia. There seem to be a lot of new products around now, like nanoguard shampoo, which I haven't heard of before. Has anyone had success on anything other than Propecia? I was thinking of trying Revivogen, but a lot of people seem to think that's a scam. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Minoxidil, which is used in brands such as rogaine and regaine is clinically proven to reverse hairloss in some people. Try this it is probably your best option next to propecia.

Maybe it's time to start thinking topical. Topical spironolactone maybe? How about adding some lavender oil to your shampoo and/or minoxidil?

Yes, a lower dose will make side effects less prominant for you to handle. I take a quater dose and find most of the side effects have dissappeared for me.

That's good to know. I will think about trying half a propecia tab although I swore I'd never take it again at all after it made me almost impotent last time...
