Are there any vitamins, shampoos, and such that helps in hair maintenance/regrowth while i wait for my appointment with the doctor? i'd rather be proactive now instead of just waiting.

but would like a good "hairloss" shampoo - non medicated - to rotate with.
From what I've heard the T's does quite the same as nizoral, right?

GhostInTheShell said:Reason im waiting for a doctor is..simply...i hear You cant get propecia without a prescription.
GhostInTheShell said:Hhmm....everything i have read has said that rogaine does not work as well on the frontal top of the head..including the bottle on the back of rogaine *shrug*.
GhostInTheShell said:I also read everywhere..including the propecia site..that You need a prescription. Regardless...im gonna go out and get those shampoos. thanks all.
Trent said:there are a LOT of people on this site that had regrowth in the front with rogaine, and even propecia (like me). there are some online sites that sell generic propecia (usually from INdia I think) i think that's what ty was referring too. but if you want the actual labeled "propecia" yes, you do need a prescription, as far as i know.
Trent said:sorry ty. i'm definitely not an expert on the online propecia scene since i just got a prescription. i always thought that online stuff was generic.

ok...so i went to the store and found the shampoos discussed (nizoral, TSal, TGel) and they are all dandruff shampoos. I did not read anything about hair loss prevention. Am i missing something? Sorry if i am being nitpicky..but i want to be cautious before forking over $30..
