I thought it would be interesting to know what our counterparts are using.

Pity the topic won't allow another poll such as how long have you been on it.

Anyway, I've been on Merck Propecia for over 9 years and I still have my hair except for receding in temple area. NW1.5- going to NW2.

The only place I know that sells Finax is UP and they don't take Mastercard. That's why I don't order there :)

Get mine from a local pharmacy. After a good friend went into the hospital after buying bunk pills online, I don't want to take any chances.

Kind of a stupid question, but how can you get 1 mg propecia? Im prescribed to .5 (one daily), should if double the dosage or is it possible to get 1 mg? I would hate to have to pay $160 a month compared to $80!

Been on ~1/4 daily InHouse (Cipla) 5mg finasteride for a year next month. In that time my hairline progressed from about low to mid NW3 to early stage NW4. It has worsened exponentially over the past 6 months, and my entire head is very diffusely thin whereas a year ago it was hardly so. Not sure if finasteride actually caused the damage, or if it was just super aggressive male pattern baldness. I'm considering trying dutasteride, but have no idea what to do.

I felt major sides in the beginning, but they quickly subsided. Although this is said to commonly occur, I always wondered if they sent me legit pills on my first order, and then switched to fake.

The prevailing opinion on this site seemed to be that the cost of manufacturing legit versus counterfeit was almost negligible, so that they would have no real incentive to risk making fake ones. Cipla, at least in the US I believe, is a big pharm player, with a reputation to uphold. Many here post that it is crazy to purchase from overseas, but for those like me who can't afford a doctor, this is our only option.

Did you see the recent article from Austria about the govt. seizing tons of fake meds from overseas suppliers? I tried to find out which companies, but could not find names. It would be great to find out, whether InHouse finasteride is truly legit. So, now I'm not sure where I'll get it from. Is this going to be a trend, to the point that people like me won't be able to order without a script?

Cipla is a major company which products should be legit if bought via the proper channels.

However, over the internet without a prescription should always ring a bell.

At the end of the day, it is still cheaper for companies to make fake drugs without the finasteride chemical.

Just to note to everyone, the machines to make the tablets are actually quite cheap. Around £30k for a machine just to put the sugar coating on. The packaging will actually be the most expensive part to make.

But, from person on this forum - each will have a batch number and you can contact cipla direct. Have you looked at your other boxes to see if different batch numbers.

From the above, I would only purchase from pharmacists or physicians which require prescription only!
