What was your "Oh S**t" moment?

When I was 15 a very small bit of the corners of my hair line was starting to miniaturize, but it was so negligible that I ignored it. When I was 16, a month before 17, I got a hair cut and everyone made fun of me at school because it revealed my hairline. I got made fun of by a person in front of everybody, it hurt me so bad. A kid said in front of the whole class, "Hey either your hair is naturally thin or you are going bald". I felt so embarrassed. So I dropped out because I don't feel like getting made fun of everyday for something that is looked at by society as an "old man problem". I'm getting a GED as a result lmao, honestly contemplating killing myself because I can't live this life, cooped up in my room every single day. I'm hoping Oral spironolactone, minoxidil, and dutasteride can help me.

When I got a buzz cut. That was definitely my "O ****" moment. My bumpy scalp showed, and my vertex diffuse/balding areas showed.

It was so ****ed up looking, beyond belief. I'll never do that again.

The buzzcut is a double edged sword. Helps people look presentable, but at the same time reveals how bald we actually are.

We seem to think that just because we have male pattern baldness, and bald temples that it's linear. WRONG.

Everywhere is gradually diffusing, and it doesn't become apparent until it's either see through or bald

I was 17, last year of highschool, a group of girls in my class said "You are going to be bald" and laughed. I was seeing hair strands in shower more than usual but I never thought that I will start losing this early. Girls were my close friends so I laughed with them too. That is definitely my Oh Sh*t moment and 1 week later I went to barber and asked him if I am balding. He said of course no, you have very thick hair but sadly he was wrong. I actually talked with the girls 3 months ago and they told me that they were just kidding at that time and they didn't believe that I am balding... So what a coincidence... (I will be 20 years old soon)
