Guys,

I've been off finasteride now for 4 months and i can see that i am losing ground with my hairline. I have been using spironolactone cream and retinol and minoxidil in the morning and fluridl and retinal and minoxidil at night and it doesn't seem to be working.

What are my options without jumping back on finasteride?

I buy it on th internet but it isn't helping yet. I miss finasteride if im honest the shedding wont stop now im off it

Im slowly seeing my hair line fade away. My crown looks ok but i shaved my head so it maybe is shedding - not sure.

I have been using spironolactone cream in the morning with 5% minoxidil and retinol spray and at night use fluridol and 5% minoxidil and retinol spray. I also use nizoral 5% on a tuesday, thursday and sunday.

I have been using these products for about 8 months now after coming off finasteride and my hairline has started fading away. finasteride was keeping everything in check.

Anyway i cant go back on finasteride due to side effects so i need to add something else to my regime.

Any ideas guys?

Twice a day spironolactone - morning and night make sure that you use Nizoral every other day but no more than 3 times a week. You can try RU.

I always thought spironolactone was strong enough to compete for the recepter spot and block out the DHT, this is the first ive heard that its weak against blocking DHT to binding. So if this is true......then what else is our options for a topical ?

Im looking for a topical with no systemic side effect on my hormones, because i want all the DHT and T for my bodybuilding. That RU stuff i can't use because its probably too expensive and you gotta store it in special enviroments. (im in the military and i might be out in the field alot, however i can still apply spironolactone while in the field because i shave my head close and always wash my face and scalp once a day) I know guys who have used rogain on a deployment lol.


So el_dut what are my options. And from all the REAL people ive talked too, Revivogen sucks.

Hairline hair is a b**ch to get back. Im currently taking nothing as treatment as i ran into debt. However i will say i was pleased with minoxidil and hairsignals before i ran out. It didnt do much in terms of regrowth but it slowed my hairloss greatly on the hairline before i ran out. i know this because its been a few months now and my hair line has moved back quarter of an inch in just two months. Whilst on treatment my hair line barelly changed for months. I got a little regrowth and little loss of hair which you could barelly tell.

Im afraid hairline hairloss can't be fully stopped with out finasteride or minoxidil. Only a hair transplant may cure that problem. However there's a guy called Tom haggerty who claims he stopped his hairline receding and regained a little hair back through doing a scalp exercise. Its no miracle cure he claims but it has helped some. Im not entirelly convinced myself.

In the test tube, spironolactone is a very strong androgen receptor blocker. In fact, it theory, it should work a lot better than finasteride. But it is unclear whether it does or not as a practical matter. Any superiority may depend on the patient and variables like systemic reflex hyperandrogenicity from finasteride. Another issue may be that you can only do so much with an antiandrogen. Anyway, we use it mainly because topical effectiveness means few side-effects.
