Whats Stopping You From Getting A Hair Transplant?

Hey all!

My hairline is receeding, about a NW2, and i'm fairly certain that im going to get a hair transplant to fix my hairline. I find myself looking at before and after images everyday of fue transplants and i think its amazing. Sure some of them can look quite bad, but some look 100% natural. I'm curious as to why its not more common for people to get them. I havent looked much into the complications or anything so im not sure if theres something negative effects of them that i dont know about. What are your thoughts on fue transplants?

Mostly because they don't do sh*t if you're aggressively balding. The hair behind the transplant is still susceptible to miniaturization. That's why an ethical surgeon won't do it on younger people. Even then you still have to go on maintenance meds. And in 99% of cases that's an anti androgen. A lot of people don't want to go on those for obvious reasons

Recovery and time off work. Trying to hide it so no one in work finds out. I’d prob need 3/4 weeks off. I could go for the no shave option but not sure how it would work.

Because there are some promising treatments in phase 3 stage right now.
There are also positive results with microneedling...perhaps with NGF-574H this year
Why would you go then to a butcher...

Some look really bad, even some that look good take a long time to look natural, it's expensive, the recovery time sounds difficult to manage and, most of all, the fact that the non-transplanted hair can (and probably will) recede and disappear complicates things further. It means you'll have to make many more transplants down the line or you'll have a really awkward hairline. So it seems like a big commitment.
