What's the point of being young, when you're bald!?

I would love to see a current picture of S4L. I don't think he is entitled to women half his age and I'm sure there is alot we don't know about the guy but at the end of the day, after all the name calling and ganging up if either one of you woke up tomorrow with a head marred by obvious scars and not enough hair to hide them you'd probably get a lump in your throat too big to swallow and wind up spending the rest of your days hiding underneath a hat. And you guys advocate doing something about our problems instead of just complaining and that is just what he did... he got a transplant to try and improve his situation and it went horribly wrong. Who amongst you could just brush that off and move on as though nothing has happened?

I can tell you now, I'd be down and it would take me time to get over it. I'm not saying I wouldn't care. If I didn't care about hair loss I wouldn't even be here with my minor hair loss. If I was in S4L's situation, I would be unhappy and upset at the limited options, his only option would be as you say a hat, or alternatively a hairpiece.

S4L started the name calling, not me. I've just highlighted how inconsistent his argument is in some respects. What I take exception to, is his apologising for BBSA's homophobia, saying the site has a "gay agenda" and trying to equate being gay with being a "child rapist".

Yes i wouldnt like having scars on my head i mean who would? but i wouldnt hide im so use to people bullying or "hating" me BEFORE hairloss is what made me not care anymore IF they use baldness against me when ALL my hair goes then so be it...i will just ignore them like i did when i had hair...NO ONES perfect you can say you look better with hair i probably look better with other things done to me to but you ARE who you ARE why change cause off some immature person? calling you names.

You don't know how I feel. That is the point. You haven't been what I've been through so how could you possibly know?

I know the feeling. I'm seen as some overly-sunny poster on here, yet everyone who knows me in real life would say that I'm dark and dour. Shows just how negative these forums are that I of all people seem like a positive person!

Danny, I can appreciate that you understand how it feels to loose hair. I didn't mean to trivialize your situation. You may do just fine if you found yourself in my shoes, hell you may even handle it better than me but there is no way to quantify that because alas, everyone is different.

+1 to me as well, although I am turning things around in real life.

You just have to laugh at some of the comments people make on here.

Dannyboyy is what 18? 19? You are mid 30's?

I think the biggest problem you have with dannyboyy is that he is much younger than you are and he is able to move on with his life, unlike yourself.

Besides hair, you always complain about your to skinny and pale, no reason why you can't work on both of those.

I personally admire dannyboyy and guys like Jonjo Shelvey, they just get on with life.

Zeroes, it's not just the outlandish claims, it's the leaps of logic that astonish me. Like you, I'm in a much better place mentally than I have been for all of my life. Not there yet, but life is a journey. I think UC Man said he was 40.
