When everything you use seriously stops working, or maybe never worked in the first place, where do you turn?

Please don't say LaserComb, as I donn't want to discuss that.

Would dutasteride, or hairtransplant be the last option?

Aside from buzzing that is.

Also, should you STILL do rogaine/propecia even if they dont work?

Propecia is probably slowing your loss, even if it doesn't appear to be working. Most hair transplant surgeons will put you on Propecia or Avodart anyway, because there is a limited amount of androgen insensitive hair that can be used for transplant. If you have a limited donor supply, body hair transplant (BHT) would be an option.

Yes body hair transplant is a real possibility (look up "Umar Procedure" on Youtube) but the hairs will only grow to about 2in maximum when transplanted to the head.

You have to give Propecia a full year before you decide whether it's working or not. Make sure you take pictures to record your progress.

If propecia, rogaine and nizoral after 1 year do not appear to be working there are only a few good options in my opinion. And yes I think one should stay on propecia even if it does not appear to work. Rogaine on the other hand I'm not sure about.

1. Dr. Proctors stuff (use all of it!)
2. Dutasteride
3. spironolactone topical
4. Revivogen

If all these fail and your still losing hair I would say you my friend are pretty much screwed. If your still losing hair a transplant will look horrible in a few years time. All you can do is pray for Hair Multiplication to come along and save you.

I echo balding 1's sentiments.

First, try treatments..............................

If they dont work or even slow down your balding, you definitely would be in trouble with any surgery. Id buzz it and use a peptide up there on my scalp (so my scalp would look as young as possible), and wait on HM, ACELL, or gene therapy and just get on with life as a "smooth" dude.

The only 'hair disasters" are guys who get surgery that eiher badly performed or get surgery and keep losing hair or get surgery that was too aggressive and placed a hairline that was too dense or too low.
