...what then?

After 8 years on the Big 3, what other options are there? (BTW, I will not use dutasteride)

Hmmm these are just suggestions...

An SOD (prox-n, tricomin or folligen) might be useful

Antiandrogens - spironolactone, fluridil, perhaps flutamide (i dont know anything about this one) Or even look up RU (I'm intending to do this, so i also know nothing of this one)

Doctor Proctor's products - http://www.drproctor.com

Try a stronger strength minoxidil - maybe Lee's new 12.5%

from what ive heard Dr Lee's 12.5% is a months away from being released, due to some problem in stability

Yup...Thats what he mailed me...

We've encountered an unforeseen problem in making the 12.5% Minoxidil Solution
available to our patients. I have made and tested many batches of the 12.5%
Minoxidil Solution since March 2005 and the solution has been proven to be
stable, safe and efficacious. However, when I make the
12.5% Minoxidil Solution in batches large enough to be commercially adequate,
crystallization of the minoxidil takes place in some bottles of the
supersaturated solution. Until I can solve this problem, I'm not going to make
the 12.5% Minoxidil Solution available to any patient. Any changes in the
compounding process will require many months to establish stability.

So, at this point in time, your question in regards to using 12.5% minoxidil is
moot. Please continue to access our website (minoxidil.com) for further
announcements in regards to the 12.5% Minoxidil Solution.

I really like the guy. He knew very well that the 12.5% is in great demand and he could have released whatever he had and then go on improving it. But as true as th guy is..he wont release sh*t. Great

What's your results? Did you lost your hair? Are you happy with it?

Yeah I still lost hair, but VERY slowly.

I don't have the typical horsehoe pattern of loss with the bald spot in back and receding hairline. The crown is very thick and I still have a decent hairline, however, the area around and behind the hairline has become very diffuse. When my hair is blown dry it looks ok, but when wet... :(

I've tried TONS of treatments over the past ten years and I came to the conclusion that most do when you've been in this game long enough: The big 3 are the only things that REALLY work. Everything else might help.

Give spironolactone a shot bro'. Put it on with the minoxidil twice a day.

Might rotate a little NANO shampoo too (copper peptide shampoo). No hassle.

BY the way, this is good news.............Ive seen Bryan Shelton post many times that 2% minoxidil is just as good as higher percentages, you just have to use MORE of it. Minoxidil sulfate is minoxidil sulfate. The five percent solution just has less propylene glycol as a carrier vehicle (why its so damn greasy). Couple of extra sprays still gets you the same amount of concentrated medicine. Its still MUCH cheaper than five percent too.

Sprio is at minoxidil.com, lipoxidil (too high), genhair, physiciansahairgrowth.com. I wish gourmetstylewellness.com stocked the stuff.

My system is Big 3 surrounded by

Morning: Fluridil
Evening: CP ---> [minoxidil] ---> 5% spironolactone ---> Emu oil.

Once things start going down hill for me, I suppose the next thing I am going to do is to make the transition from once a day 5% minoxidil to perhaps once a day 15% minoxidil.

Or throw in some prox-n perhaps.

Well that goes without saying, if you can obtain some go wild on the stuff - and the results

Looking at your regimen, do you mean that you only use minoxidil once per day? Wouldn't the next step be to move up to twice daily applications?

Damn that fluridil complicating matters eh?
