Where Did You Get Your Custom Piece?

I am currently looking at :
Northwest Lace, Lords and OneHead
One Head is more expensive... I am wondering how they differ in quality and service from NWL and Lords?

Nearly all from the same area of China - near Qingdao - but different factories.

Often the quality will come down to QC and the actual person on the ground that makes and checks it. It can be random. Price is no guarantee of quality.

Its very labour intensive and Chinese labour costs are rising to such an effect that the Chinese now send some production overseas.

It's also QC of the company that you buy from. When you buy direct, you are, like in the case of LordHair, and others, you are at the "mercy" of the factory. If they make a mistake, it's just you against them. The benefit of working through any company, like Onehead, NWL, etc, is that they are the final QC. If there are issues with the system, a good company will make it right, absorbing any costs that may be incurred to correct the mistake.

That doesn't mean you can't get a great system, direct, it's just you are taking a chance. One bad system can erase your savings, not to take into account the time (especially if you are going around with a hat, waiting for your hair).

Optima Hair in birmingham,UK.

On my 2nd hair system now.

Pretty happy but a few f*** ups again.
The colour is almost black(very dark brown), looks fine as the sides and back are buzzed. But will look a mismatch when it grows.
Can always dye it myself though.

The product(wax) they gave me makes the hair system look fake. As quickly will go stringy and hair will clump together.
Looks much better after washing, drying and straightening the fringe. The wax just makes it look denser and rigid and fake.

Using all tape currently. Base tape with super strong blue tape on top of it. Special lace tape at the lace front area.
As had ALOT of headaches lately so the salon thought it would be easier for me to do at home. And easier to take off if I get a splitting migraine headache.
Was also given a bottle of lace release, my template(mould) and a dummy head.
Tape is supposed to last up to 2 weeks.
But NO itching this time.

Been 3 days so far and it's great, but haven't got it wet in the shower yet...

From not wearing since may 2018 to wearing again in dec 2018.
I feel happy again with my looks and have that comfort feeling inside me.

3.5 days later incredible itching....And took hair system off using the lace release roll on.
I definatly need a scalp protector.

Also the tape seems to have made a very sticky mess on the base.
The lady at the salon said I could just pick it off, hmmm.

Have you tried a fully bonded thing skin system? Might suit you better - I rarely get itching from mine.

Yes but the glue didn't hold for longer than 5 days...

I'm trying ghost bond platinium next.

And scalp protector thick.

I've ordered from Hair Loss Clinic and although a salon service, the system is useless. Hairline horrible and birds nest on top. I've moved order to One Head, receiving my shelf system next week to replace my current system, while I await a custom system. Very pricey all in, but hopefully be worth it once all done. Confidence is key

Tomorrow! For now it will be a stock system, but I will get a custom piece ordered too while I am there. From people I have spoken to, even there stock system will be better than the rubbish I have now

So I got my system from Onehead and even though its a stock system, I am very happy with it .Whole process with them was very easy. Quite pricey all in for system and cut but a 100x better experience than with Hair Loss Clinic. However just based on my own self concious self, I am worried how people around me will act and mention about my hair that I all of a sudden have more, that I am in two minds about just shaving everything off clean......just have to work on that I guess, but overall pleased with Onehead

So happy for you! You will get over the hair thing. I went from slick bald to growing out my fringe (horrible) to walking into work after a 5-day holiday looking like my pic in my avatar.

Walk in with a big-*** smile on your face... let the hair do the work.
