Which is worse - Diffuse or Receder?

I was just wondering what you guys (currently suffering from hairloss) consider to be the worst of the two - diffuse thinning or a receding hairline?

I'm going down the receding hairline route, but would MUCH rather have diffuse thinning. Dunno about you guys but I think receding hairlines look MUCH worse, and from what I've read it's a hell of a lot more harder to treat than diffuse thinning...

Share your opinions.... :)

I think that I would be more inclined to take the diffuse thinning over recession.

The intact hairline is what I want.

NO way . diffuse is way worse cuz scalp is seen but with recession one can hide it better with the thicker hair one has. Also recession is a part of ageing almost everyone goes throught it at some point. I'd go with recession rather then diffuse( I have ok hair but no temples)but in the end i rather have niether

Thinning is worse. Infact it's f*****g hell to have a intact hairline but nothing behind it.

It depends on how advanced the balding is. But assuming it's they're both in the early stages, I'd actually go with diffuse thinning. I can just buzz my head with a one guard and no one call tell I'm balding.

diffuse is 100% worse than receding, because diffuse sneaks up on you without you noticing, and after you have noticed it is to late also if you just started to recede and caught it early enough, you would not have any problems providing you are a good responder to the meds, also it is much easier to have hair transplant if you are only receding not as much chance for shock loss,so diffuse is way ,way worse than just receding,
look at jude law ,he has basically remained a norwood 3 for the last 12 years, how many people with diffuse thinning stay the same for 12 years .

none do because diffuse thinners are bald within 3 years of starting to go bald, sorry to scare monger but it is the truth if you are diffuse thinning and the meds don't work for you forget about getting a buetiful girlfreind because u r finished in that respect

Jesus Christ man.

"Beautiful girl"

What got you to believe that a beautiful girl is only beautiful on the outside, man some girls don't care about looks as much nor hair.

Baldness does not = ugly in many girls eyes man.

You got to get with the current popular culture.

Lots of men are bald. (Some) Women love bald men and some women don't care if they have hair on their heads or not. Its their personality that counts towards them.

Stop putting people down, It's making me mad every time I read your idiotic posts.

let me guess, you're a diffuser?

either way, you're wrong. i'm a diffuser and had great results on the meds. my hairline is basically intact.

and kalbo is right that if you're a diffuser like me, and buzz short enough, people can't tell. people look at the hairline location first and foremost.

jayman, i said if you don't respond to treatment it is a quick road to baldness,as youi seem to be responding to treatment then maybe in your case it is better to be a diffuse thinner than a receder

you didnt address the point that kalbo did which is that you can buzz your head short if you're a diffuser and usually be able to hide it unless it's too severe.

I'm both. f*** aaaaallll y'aaaalll

receding up front, thinning all over top, extreme thinning at vertex.

I WIN.

I'd take a thick NW2 over a thin NW1 if thats what you're asking..

:p

oh sort it *out* mate

yeah, i'm losing my hair which deducts a few attractiveness points but i'm now doing my best to excel in every other area of my being to make up for it. in the end i'll be a better person than the NW1 me in that parallel universe..

started thinning at the age of 22 and now at 34 have coverage enough so scalp isn't seen....no family member, friend or girlfriend has ever said..."your're going bald." Meds aren't working great but they're definately slowing things down...guess I'm lucky

My friend is a diffuse thinner. He's been losing for a few years. He grows it long and he looks like he has a complete full head of hair. It's only when it's wet can you tell he's losing. I know what to look for. Any normal person would have no idea. I am receding. It looks way worse

My hairs like that too...but it has to be pretty damn long...I think id much rather hit up the buzzcut for my diffusion...works good for summer...swimming, chicks love to play with it and I have a lot less problems with that then girls playing with thin dead strands on my head that would expose me in all my scalpiness.
