Have the same thing for awhile now too.
It’s a mix of sebum and hairs in telogen phase it looks like.

You think it caused Telogen Effluvium. 15 months?
not initially in the beginning and it has continued...i quit at 10 months mark and it stopped and then i resumed finasteride again and started back up again.

I’m telling you something isnt right. When I walk over to the mirror its looks like I have a bunch of dandruff in my hair. Sad thing is I have no dandruff... never have. All these white dots are the bulbs at the end of hairs that have fallen out. I’ve never seen anything like it. The sad thing is if I’m talking to someone they definitely see them bc when I’m 4 feet back looking in the mirror I can see them. My bed is covered with these hairs with bulbs at the end. Most of the hairs are thick terminal hairs as well.

Any idea? I heard hairs lost from balding are thin and split, bat having large bulbs.
I had the same problem along with sand like grainy particles. It has gone completely since I started taking Spironolactone.

You haven’t mentioned taking spironolactone anywhere in your page? Haha you aren’t taking it are you?
My page? I haven't made any thread yet.

You can see it on my regimen section.

I started at 150mg and have now increased to 200mg just to be sure of results.

How long have you been on it?
About a month only. No regrowth to report yet...but I believe one should give any treatment 6-9 months. Since those sand like balls and seb dermatitis/dandruff have gone, I believe it is working.

Oh ok. So yea I wondering if finasteride or duta cause some of Telogen Effluvium and spironolactone counter it? Good luck man hope it works
Thank you! You can read my recent posts in an another thread to know more about spironolactone. Do remember: anything less than 100mg isn't worth it.

I have the same weird bulbs on some of the hairs that fall out, but I had that pre-finasteride as well so I don’t know if it’s related.

I always thought it had something to do with the sebum stuck to my head. You can’t see real dandruff on my head, but if I scrape my scalp with my fingernail I can see some white stuff. I thought it to be bits of sebum coming off attached to the root of my hair.

This is definitely abnormal and indicates active inflammation. I would have these everywhere when my seborrheic dermatitis flares up (usually when my hormones are fucked up) and I have it consistently on my right hairline which went from perfect nw0 to almost nw3 now in less than three years:(

Damn sorry to hear that? You never tried any treatments? Any recommendations or am I fucked?
I'm on big three and tried adding dutasteride(no noticeable benefit to hairline) and needling(did nothing but making me shed).
