There are two twin brothers at my school. One of them has a full head of thick hair and the other brother is a SOLID NW2. Wierd.

My Family

Dads Side
Grandpas = Full heads of thick hair
Grandma = Thick hair
My dad = NW3

Moms Side
Aunt = Thick awesome hair
Mom= Thin crappy hair
Grandma =Thin crappy hair
Grandpa = NW3
Uncle = Thick awesome hair untill age 20, now completely bald
(only member in my family 100 percent bald)

I know I got it from my mom. Just pisses me off why did she get the thin crap hair instead of her sister.

Balding doesn't follow Mendalian genetics and how you can inherit it is pretty complicated. You can get it from either side of the family, however.

My Grandfather was bald by 25 (my age now) but everyone assumed it was all the years of jungle fighting in WWII that caused it. Now I'm thinking it was just crappy genetics that skipped my dad and came straight to me.

Everybody else in my family has kept a pretty good head of hair which I was told, in a recent chat with my mum, boded well for me!!!

Male pattern baldness from your mom is a myth

When your parent's gametes come together, you have an equal chance of inheriting the gene(s) for male pattern baldness from either parent. My mother's side has great hair... Damn my luck.

Studies show that my penis is f*****g huge!

Ahh sting sorry man, don't know how to break this too you...
but Bruce just posted a double blind study which shows this is false....sorry bud. :wink:

I saw the numbers on that study too. They overwhelmingly stated that his assumption was false. Basically 100% in the negative, with +/- 2% for error. :doh:

Mothers side: Theres no hair loss at all
Fathers side: My dads bald, and all his sisters and mother have very thin hair, but my grandpa still has a full head of hair.

Oh and if your fathers bald you have a 50% chance of inheriting the gene according to my doctor.

Well I am kinda lucky. I got hairloss but I am almost positive I will not go 100 percent bald. I will be a NW3 worst possible outcome. But im not tripping cause my products are doing good so far.

My dad was a heavy smoker for 30 years, hard coffee everyday, ate garbage food, washed his hair like once a week with crap shampoo his whole life and he is a NW3 at 58. My dads grandpas had no hairloss their whole lives.

It sucks how we where the unlucky ones and got the balding gene.

Nobody really knows. Some say one can get a good idea by looking at your Mother's Father. I think the gene is passes on by one's Mother, but the chances of any specific child inheriting it is unknown....I THINK. :?

Lizzad, 'm not sure how ligit this site is (Mens Healt Center) but they seem to support your statement..check it out.

MALE PATTERN BALDNESS & FEMALE PATTERN BALDNESS

Conventional thinking suggests that an individual's genes, from both male and female parents, unquestionably influence that person's predisposition to male or female pattern baldness. It is usually inherited from the mother's side of the family and involves the presence of an active form of testosterone to set off the gene-programmed balding process. Men whose mother's fathers became bald early in life are very likely to follow a similar pattern. Hereditary hair loss is usually gradual and permanent, beginning with a thinning of the hair at the temples and or on the crown as early as in the teenage years.
