S. Foote,

Thanks very much for your reply, you make a very very very good point. It is interesting to see different factor which play a role in male pattern baldness. We do seem to attack it by controlling the DHT, but from what I gather there is more then just that which needs to be addressed. If one could get the inflamation down in order to decrease the effects of edema the likelyhood of success from treatments would be far greater. This brings into the question the importance of Tricomin or Folligen as a way to keep the fibrosis at bay which in theory would lessen the negative effects on the follicle enlargement.

Again Thanks,

Tony

Gardener , keep in mind that the supposed tin peptide results are off of a hairloss site that is known to post bogus info so the tin may be slightly less effective but you can get tin at http://www.folligen.com .Good to have your pledge in the cult . Meuwahahahahahaaaaa

Hey Se~nor Kevin,

Check this out man: http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/srchnum.htm
by the way this is the US Patent Office's website.
in the query enter this patent number - 5,382,431

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page you will see the infamous table 8. Dr. Pickart's name is everywhere. Is copper better than tin? I think we need to unleash Columbo on Pickart.

So what? The guy has been patening forms of peptides since the mid 80's. He invented Tricomin and Folligen.

Nope I think you misunderstood Kevin. Kevin is refering to this article on that website - http://www.regrowth.com/hair_loss_information/sod.cfm not http://www.folligen.com
I am pointing out to him that the experimental data is an excerpt from Pickart's patent. So eventhough the site may be "known to post bogus info" that same experimental data is present in the patent documents.

Everybody knows I come from a land that has the richest deposits of tin in the world. :D

Gotcha.....I went back a few pages and caught that part.

Hey, by the way... I have always been hesitant about sprayers because you usually get so much of the liquid in the hair and I have an irrational tendency to overcompensate for such by using too much of it.

So, how many sprays of this stuff to you guys use? Cassin, I think you mentioned 4? I just want to calibrate my usage with people who currently use it. Additionally, I think I am hearing that this is something that you use AFTER the minoxidil, right? And, is this one of those products that you can only use at night, er, that is to say, if you spray this stuff on, does it leave a nasty residue? If I use it in the mornings, is it possible to spray it on after I have styled my hair, and used a little hair spray, and let the hair spray dry? Or, do I dry my hair, then spray the peptides, then style and use the hairspray? A little help here please!

Most of the time. It's hard to explain, but it's a good sprayer...lol One on each side of that damn horse shoe, one in the middle, and one with the hair parted. Plus one on the face to ward off possible wrinkles down the road.

Yes, I like the fact the rogaine makes it stay on the sclap longer. I have never really used it with Dr Lees.

I use it mainly in the am. It has never left a flake.

It's the last thing I put on for the day. This stuff is so simple to use.

Gardener, I assume like most of us you might have more then one dropper handy from all of the minoxidil purchased in the past. Personally I use folligen and coincidentaly enough the dropper fits perfectlly onto the folligen bottle. So now I have two droppers, one for minoxidil, the other for folligen.

Cassin: THANKS for the tips.

Kramer: Good idea. I'll have to get a feel for the stuff before playing around with the application method, but if the sprayer gives me sh*t then I might consider doing that.

Brasileiro: Say helro to my lwrittle fwriend

Well , I use revitalize and apply three to the vertex and three to the front and work it around until even the mid patch of hair gets some but thats after I've made sure the vertex and hairline are very well coated . It dries within a half hour and you definitely feel the diference especially if you had applied some minoxidil a couple of hours before hand .It feel really good . You'll realize the inflamation you have gotten use to that isn't there after applied it all goes away .

I try to use it on dry hair. It's a thin liquid so I think if you used it on a wet scalp it would run off fairly easy down your head.

I use it in the am after the hair is towel dried. I think any time you can apply a topical to a hydrated (not soaking wet!) scalp you are providing a more ideal enviroment for topicals to absorb. I give the scalp about 3-4 shots in the crown and then 3-4 shots in the frontal area, trying to make sure it doesnt run down my face (although copper is excellent for your skin, so it certainly wont hurt)

You can use this stuff (crew) any time of the day, it is VERY cosmetically acceptable. I usually finish off with dab of Crew Texture cream, they work well together.

Has anybody ever used Alterna Hemp Shampoo/cond? I noticed it has a ton of copper peptides, could be a good one to throw into the mix....
