Baldness is ubiquitous .most men go bald before 50.since my hairloss started I have been noticing heads of others men and I was surprised to see most young and middlgaed men are bald .only few had descent hairs.
Why it is so rampant.? Your speculations are welcomed.

I would like to know that, too. Maybe lifestyles contribute? Who knows. There was a guy in my calculus class who was 18 but nw7, I kid you not. Some folks I know are either receding or diffusing, and they are young and don't have bald relatives. It's something pretty intriguing.

It’s a combination of substandard nutrition, stress, toxins.
When someone starts to thin it’s very gradual. And nobody’s really come up with THE regimen. I have started to make progress, but only from FOCUS & trial & error. Your hair WANTS to grow & WILL grow back if the proper stimulus are applied to body/scalp.

i dont think a full head of hair is as uncommon as you make it out to be. Non balding men are everywhere, old, middle aged and young.
The percentage of men losing their hair is said to go like this: 20% experience it in their twenties, 30% in their thirties and so on...That means about 50% have some degree of hair loss by the time they reach 50. I'd argue it's a bit more...or at least the number that have a very mature hairline but it's not at all rare to find a 50 y.o. with good hair.

some people on this site say 70% of all men go bald, some have said 90%. I think it's 50-50 and the statistics are totally wrong. I am not claiming i know the exact number but i know for a fact that the statistics arent even close to being right.

80% people above or near 50 are bald from nw2 to nw7.when go out see it,you would be surprised to see the actual number are false .

Nah i think most non balding men are norwood 0 or 1. People say most non bald men go through a mature hairline and that juvenile hairlines are extremely rare. Usually if you see a man over 50 with a good head of hair he will be norwood 0 -norwood 1.5....atleast from what ive seen. Also in barber shops, when an old man comes in with a full head of hair, he usually is below norwood 2.

Depends on the ethnicity. Where I live, it's mostly hispanics and a full head of hair is the norm throughout their lives. Most keep their juvenile hairline too. And their density is so thick that you barely ever seen diffuse thinning.

Robert De Niro is 77 and has been a Norwood 2 since the 70's. Jim Carey has been described as Norwood 3 (although in my opinion he is a 2) and has been that way for at least 25 years and is now 58. Very difficult to call who will or won't keep their hair.

totally untrue, plenty of guys in their fifties can be Nw2s and Nw3s. My father is 57 and he's a Nw2.5. My uncle is 55 and he is 55.

My uni proffs are in their late 40s/early 50s not sure, but one of them is Nw3.

I said most. Having a norwood 1/1.5 is much more healthier than nw3. The truth is, most non balding men will have a norwood 0 to 1.5 as opposed to norwood 2 or above. When you seen old men with a full head of hair and no diffuse thinning, they will more likely have norwood 1- 1.5 as opposed to 3. A juvenile hairline is not rare, its actually extremely common.

you have to be very lucky for your hairloss to stabalise after norwood 2 or 3 without treatments. So the amount of old non balding men you see with norwood 2 or 3 is probably less than the amount of old men with norwood 1/1.5.

yes they have mature hairlines, although robert deniro's hairline matured slowly. In my avi in taxi driver he is slightly below norwood 2. But you just picked 2 old men out of a bunch. Most old non balding men will be in the norwood 0 - 1.5 range.

Many Hollywood actors are probably on finasteride/dutasteride.
finasteride doesnt give you hair like this in your old age though. by your logic, most men in real life who are not balding are on treatments. And you forget, there are sooooo many balding celebrities who are obviously also on treatments. Dont attribute non balding celebrities' good hair on finasteride. Lots of people can barely hold on to their norwood 3's with finasteride. And please dont mention rob lowe being on treatments, he is not balding.

Genes. Genes and just. Forget the diet and lifestyle BULLSHIT. It may acelerated your hairloss IF you're already destined to do so. Otherwise, NO. At least not permanent hairloss.

There's plenty of EXTREMELY obese guys with a full head of hair. Alcoholics, druggies, stressed guys as well.

Why men bald isn't the issue for me. The patterns is what amazes me the most.
