why do people tell us how we *should* feel?

What fvcking moron said that? LOL, of course they care.. there's a reason why damn near all women look at bald and especially balding men in DISGUST.

Yeah or chuckle, especially younger girls. Anyway, I had a discussion with my sister the other night and she acted surprised when I tried to suggest that ppl have preferences when it comes to possible partners. I hate it when she acts stupider than she is... she didnt even want to believe that mens height could be an issue for women, let alone baldness.

Friends were also dicussing balding the other night (both thick nw1's). They commented on a sports commentator who was like nw2-3 tops w/ frontal thinning that "why doesnt he shave it, I will if I'll ever reach that point". I very nearly bursted and wanted to shout that you ****ers have no damn idea what ure talking about and I bet u wouldnt shave at that point, no effin way. Ignorant pricks.

True on the caffeine. After I have coffee or a Redbull, it jacks up to 11.

Nights are the worst but as someone said, it's not harmful. It will drive you a little batty, though. I've screamed STFU!!! before and then had a laugh.

How many times have I heard this one from NW1's. I always tell them: "then shave it now, with a blade, at least it will grow back and you'll know what awaits you"

Of course they always brush me off and maintain that balding is not a real issue. I only managed to convince one of my best friend that hair loss can indeed be the end of the world for some.

Even shaving with hair won't produce the same results as balding, they won't have the horseshoe. It would be like sitting in a wheelchair without being really handicapped.

PERFECT ANALOGY.

There is no way a non balding individual can or will ever truly be able to understand the tremendously overwhelming burden that we endure as hair loss sufferers. It is impossible because most of them take their own full blown Norwood 0's and .5's totally for granted. I did.

I was in that "vote" very briefly in my adult life, under 5 yrs. Then I realized that I really am thinning...

Honestly if I never experienced the angry pangs of hair loss and was sporting a full blown zero:hairy: and here was a friend bringing to my attention his hair loss concern I most likely would have ignorantly pacified him, no rather more likely lied to him by telling him, "no really you look good.., or no you got a good head of hair and besides to hell with those who care that you are! They are nothing but a_ _ holes anyway..,". You see since my early childhood I was conditioned and lead to believe that I was to never go bald. Now it's true I was extremely gullible and emotionally dependent on my father during most of my childhood and adolescence . This sounds incredulous but one day very early in my youth the beloved subject of hair loss came around between my dad and me when I asked him , "would I ever lose my hair?" To this he responded authoritatively that I would never go bald. His view point remained the gospel, signed, sealed and from that day on and delivered well into my early 20's. It may be interesting to point out the fact that my father retained his glorious silver blue mane well past his 60's. Even still, at times he even demonstrated what appeared like anxiety over it. As foolish and fantastic as this account may sound today some of you may understand a little more the profundity of my own hair loss journey. Insofar of this paternally bestowed and absolutely single mindset I was extremely removed from the prospect of hair loss ever threatening my looks or moreover becoming the stark reality it has become. I could not possibly relate to it and therefore in my mind it was a fantastic event outside my small and closed universe. Thanx for sharing. My apologies if I misconstrued your compelling question.:wow:

It may seem crazy, but despite my almost full-blown NW5, some of my relatives still tell me "But you have hair! Why don't you you grow it out?!"

They see a few hundred diffused hairs on the top of my head, for them, it's hair.

For a hair transplant surgeon, I'm the worst case of hair loss at such a young age he's seen in his career, for my family, it's all in my head, yeah I still get that even now, showing up with that on my head:

sure.jpg

I even got the "You're not really depressed about your hair, you pretend because you want us to feel sorry for you".

6 months in psychiatry suffering from major depression and anxiety, 2000 posts on different hair loss forums, but you know, I was just pretending. Pricks.

I'm sure I could have like 300 grafts implanted sparsely over my NW5 once slick-bald, keep my head shaved and 99% of people would believe that "I have hair".

Fred Im just saying with my issues of my procedure (which have now cleared and the new hairs are already growing in) your head would be perfect to start an FUE now.
You do actually have a still noticeable hair line that could be followed. You look like your donor area is quite good. and if you showed up tomorrow with hair growing in you are not SO bald people wouldn't believe it was just minoxidil or even a change in diet (if you cared, I will tell anyone I had a hair transplant, no shame in my game b****s!).
Im just saying IMO NOW is the time to do it if you at all think about it. Which you do because multiple times you said you have backed out of the procedure last minute. You could get your entire frontal 1/3 to maybe 1/2 your head done, filling in your framing area everyone mentions.

I say do it, but its all you. Even after the money and the folliculitis outbreak (cleared up now) I dont regret it. In 5-8 years when I do regret it Ill have more money to get even more done, possibly using my chest and leg hair to dense it up. Or who knows maybe something else will be out.

Swing glad you recovered from your post hair transplant issue and are no longer playing with your guns. Lock them in the toy chest where they belong.:)

I think you are right Fred about what 300 grafts could do for you. The psychologically impact of hair loss is enough to bring you to the edge. Maybe not by it's self but cumulatively of course.

Fred, honestly from that pic you have a great outline of hair. Filling it in might be the way to go. I see alot of potential there. Plus, you are not a fool walking in off the street. You seem to know the deal on hair transplant's better than most.

If money wasnt an issue Id go for as ridiculous a transplant as possible, body hair, leg hair, chest and beard hair. I wouldnt even need full coverage.
