Why do we look worse in 7-8 months than in 4-5?

I had the same impression with some other guys in here, whose posts I read. I thought that my overall look was worse in 7-8 months than in 4-5. I think this is due to the new hair coming out which give the impression of "black dots" in my head and destroying my hairline's image. Have you thought about that? any opinion? thanx :)

We may look worse because we are waiting for the new gratfs to come through and it may appear you look worse off only for the short term though.

Falc,

Yes losing some of your original non transplanted hair can also be a factor.

I could be wrong- but my 2 cents opinion is that shorter hair (at 4-5 months), say like #2 to # 4 buzz gives a higher density illusion, and youthful face features compared to longer hair (same quantity hair at 8 months ) which gives an illusion of less dense hair.

Yes Kert i think you have a point there.SHorter hair can give you the illusion of it looking fuller.

For me, very short hair looks awfully thin.
Medium length hair(1-2cm) look preety good.
"Long" (4-5cm) hair look preety bad.

that is why you tell them to not go in between old hair, and just graft into smooth bald areas.
