why does generic and brand finasteride look so different?

I ordered some generic Propecia and some brand name Propecia. The brand is roundish and red, while the generic is a small yellow and circular.


The brand looks to be about twice the size of the generic. Is this normal? How could it be that much larger and be the same thing? They are both 1 mg finasteride on the back of the pill tablet sheet. Thanks, I'm freaking out here on what to do.

It's depressing how everything connected with hair and medications freaks us out.
Anyway, the color is just what's covering the pill and for the logo. What's inside matters. But it's strange that Propecia is bigger. Maybe the covering is just thicker?

I'm going to guess that there're more fillers in the 1mg Propecia pill vs the generic; otherwise the pill would be much smaller and harder to handle. I wouldn't worry about the colour neither.
