Why Does My Hair Look Like sh*t After Using Ketoconazole Shampoo?

Dries out your hair, and strips it of natural oils/sebum that gives your hair an aesthetic appearance.

Nizoral is sh*t, not only does it dry the follicle, but it gives it a stringy straw like appearance.

Your hair is fuller, and thicker in diameter when its coated with natural oil from your scalp.

Depends on the user. For me nothing makes it look better or more dense, but I don't over use it. If you have a naturally oily scalp it works well.

So what is the consensus on Nizoral, is it the sh*t base ingredients, or is it the active Ketoconazole that is causing the drying?

Both. Have you tried Regenpure Dr? It has Keto but not the sulphates, parabens or chemicals you get in Nizoral.

My hair looks very good after applying it. I even use it 3-4 times/week. Hair got dry a few times but coconut oil helped.

I like it anyway. If you're looking for a Keto based shampoo it's one of the better ones in terms having "pure" ingredients. You would probably have to use it a bit more often then Nizoral though because it's 1% Keto rather then 2%.

Indeed!
2% Nizoral is pretty harsh. Too harsh.
