Why finasteride woked so well 6 months and than stopped?

hi friends again. i started finasteride and had amazing results, my hair was gain volume and i stopped completely the hair loss. in the shower before the treatment i always see many many hair falling, after started the treatment only one or two hair in my hands! it was amazing... so the hair loss stopped and my hair continued growing ( i always have many news hairs growing up) then i had many more hair! very amazing results. BUT IN THE 6 MONTHS mark, i started to ahve big hair loss again when taking shower, in my pillow, when combing hair,etc... and my hair become day by day more week more thin , less hair in my head. now i can see my scalp, i avoid the light becouse i dont like ppl seeing my problem. by the way, i continued taking propecia and now i am in 1 year and 1 month mark. the hairloss never stopped again,and i was hopping that the success that i had in the beggining to come back. i still hava many new hairs growing up, but i think that the speed that i fall hairs is very very fastter than growing new hair. i need help. please qhat you think guyS? why finasteride stopped working only in 6 months? i dont know what to think! what a f*** is going on!?!??

Are you getting your propecia from a legit pharmacy? Maybe your first batch was good, the rest you bought was fake...

It maybe that the treatment hasnt started to kick in at all yet. Maybe your hairloss stopped and then started again simply due to the natural cycle of your hair follicles. Remember finasteride can take upto 12 months to work, so your only halfway there at the moment. Do you use any other treatments?

I was in your boat, too. My hair looked awesome for six months and then all of a sudden I went through a massive shed. It was hard to tolerate and lasted about three months. Every time I lightly plucked my hairs 4-5-6 would come out, repeatedly. The shed stopped, however, and it looks like my hair is starting to fill in again. In fact, I know that it's starting to fill in again. Do I know if I will regrow all the hair I lost? No idea. But I'm optomistic about it at this point. My scalp feels great, too.

Search around this site (I even believe gourmetstylewellness.com recently posting something concerning it) for shed synchrinization (sp?) associated with propecia use. Basically instead of getting a bunch of small sheds as is the case with regular hair cycles, they all seem to come at once. I believe this may have been the case with me. Even though it's "normal" for me to lose 1-2 hairs when i tug from my scalp, I hardly lose any anymore when I tug on them... I just sat here and tugged firmly ten times and no hairs came out. Stick with it. It's hard to deal with it, but you have to. Things should get better for you in several months.

I've yet to see too many people come back to the forum and show pics of how their hair has now synchriized and grew back thick from the sheds.
