Oh yes I have been a good responder to finasteride. My hair is thicker in the crown. Only been on it about 8 months so I hope I will regrow some more.

Wish I was on finasteride before I started losing though, I blame my Dermatologist, 3 different young pretty girls with perfect white skin, only physicians assistants or just out of school, and just passing through. They were not a help at all as they never alerted me to male pattern baldness, even when I asked, the real derm. sees only cancer stuff or big insurance payment procedures.

Dude are you out of your f*****g mind? It doesn't matter what age you are? When you're walking down the street one day and a midget pops out from behind a fire hydrant and hurls human sh*t at you...that's bad luck. When you're 37 and you're first seeing the signs of hairloss you've been blessed. You absurd twat. Grow up.

The Internet, like hair apparently, is a privilege that a lot of undeserving people get. I hope you break your spine working out dude, people like you are really pathetic.

Here we have the two extremes:

#1
A weight lifter who is approaching a mid life crisis but finally beginning to learn that being a sexy muscle bound alpha male is not about how much of an animal act you put on or how many androgens you can fill your bod with, but more about balancing your body and brain with the right things if you want keep some quality, (quality hair for example)

#2
A bunch of young twenty somethings that can't believe that a very, very, very very old, old, old, so dam old, UGLY OLD, I mean that so dam old men in 30's, 40, and 50s are actually just as cool or cooler than them and like to continue to stay healthy, have sex daily, look young, and still keep a full head of hair. Yes they can't believe some old fart would have the balls to want or still be doing all that, they should be in the rest home, not on these forums. :)

Another "pissing contest" again. The young and restless and balding vs the old farts facing the dreaded NW2. This battle will always exist. Lets face it, we all have one thing in common. We care about how we look. And alot of us have BDD. I think you can make your point without whining. Another thing some posters need to realize is that we have people of all ages on here. Some of older farts are just addressing their complaints to posters in the same age group. I can relate to muscleman because my thinning started later in life. You young balding posters won't be able to relate and we won't be able to relate to your situation as well. I know I am lucky to have a full head of hair but I still get concerned when I am using treatments and they are not working as well as I hoped. I think muscleman may have been asking for advice from people who started thinning in their late 30's. Maybe this forum should be divided into age groups. Those balding at ages 18 to 30 and those balding from ages 30 to 50. And since most treatments tend not to work as well after 50, we don't have to go any further.

Actually there must be some interesting science and something to learn in the fact that some people lose hair in their early 20's verses those who don't have some loss till their late 40's like me. This should diffidently be part of our research because it could help solve a hair loss mystery for young and old.

Thats the difference between you and the others though house. All it takes is for those in a fortunate position to acknowledge this and not consider themselves to be in the same boat as the most unfortunate amongst us.

Thanks, s.a.f, I really appreciate that you don't view my as the whining guy that started this thread. I guess that is why after posting here for a few years I never got bashed about my situation. I know how lucky I have been since my dad and his dad were going bald at 18 years old. I dodged genetics pretty well on that side of the family. My dad went bald at 18 yet his brother never went bald. The brother as normal age related thinning and recession which I have as well. I just went to my doctor and he is going to look into the hairdx test for Propecia effectiveness and if he says its sounds responsible he will administer it. He agrees, why take a drug that seems to have done nothing for me. I want to know the probability that it does something.

Reread my post. I said like my uncle( dad's bro) I have age related thinning and recession. If I had no recession or thinning I would have never "stepped foot" in this forum. I don't know if I really have male pattern baldness for sure since no doctor can actually confirm this. I have done my own miniaturization test and I don't see alot of miniaturization. I have been to a few hair transplant docs and they just say I have lost density. I know if I showed s.a.f. my hair, he would tell me its not male pattern baldness but age related thinning.

Its funny how Dr House talk about other users. He says he's full head of hair yet he says i've more hair than he. And i'm a diffuser.

Dr. House dont be a Dr Cuddy. Please.
