Why Tom Brady won't cut his hair

Tom Brady may earn more money than his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, but that doesn't mean he wears the pants in their relationship.

The two-time Super Bowl MVP says he's not cutting his ridiculous-looking Justin Bieber Flock of Seagulls Dorothy Hamill David Cassidy-esque hair because his wife won't give the go-ahead.

"Is there anything I can do to make you cut your hair," New England radio host Greg Hill asked Brady during a phone call on Tuesday.

"Ah, you'll have to speak to my wife about that," Brady replied.

Brady's hair has received almost as much attention as his play on the field this year. The ladies don't like it (Twitter searches and a quick poll of all the women in my life reveal this), men are mocking it (Brady-worshipper Bill Simmons of ESPN wrote "all Patriots fans made a pact to pretend that Brady's 2010 hairdo isn't happening. We're going to ignore it completely, even if his hair catches fire during a game and a referee puts it out with a challenge flag") and even teammates are giggling about it.

"That's a grown man over there, he can do what he wants,'' receiver Brandon Tate(notes) told the Boston Herald. "That's on him."

Even Justin Bieber himself has weighed in on Brady's flowing mane. "Nice haircut, Brady," the tween singing sensation told the Herald in an email. "Dude's got golden locks. Haha!"

That woman isn't the brightest bulb in the basket. Look at some of her political and social commentary. Calling for international laws to have mandatory breastfeeding to combat obesity.

She's a good model but that's about it.

And if Brady won't cut his hair cause of her, I guarantee she will get tired of him and move on in 2-4 years. Or cheat on him.

edit:

Brady is always discussed in balding forums cause it looks like he is in some images. Here's his hairline in a recent pic:

I think he's a NW2-ish with a high hairline from having a naturally big forehead. He's probably not balding now, might thin some more in the future.

to me it looks like he is wearing a very small hair integration system... why do i think that? because i wear one too, I have the exact same hair line and hair density as braby has when he has his hair cut short Norwood 2, however when i wear this clip on integration, that raps round my head like a band and i pull my existing hair through i have the added length, volume and improved temples that brady has now too... practically identically exept the crap colour! If he wants to add instant volume and length fair play too him, also i can play sports, swim etc with it on too and when i dont wear it i still have my normal hair and length undamaged as its only clips! If you have minor thinning or receded temples it perfect but really expensive as it must be custom made too be unnoticeable - just like hair extensions for women are.

After seeing Brady's hair in posts on another forum and in the game last night...

all I can say is he was never balding, he just has a high forehead/NW2. All the "balding" pics just either show his hairline really well or when his hair is sweaty/wet + short, making it appear thinner.

Now that his hair is really long it looks very thick.

I was watching the pats vs. steelers this past weekend and couldn't help but notice that his hair looks weird. I can't pinpoint what's wrong with it, but something is off. The front looks weird. Plus, You never see his hairline exposed, ever; which is odd for a football player. If you watch most players with long hair, they kept the front of the hair swept back off the head when wearing a helmet. Which makes sense, you don't want it getting in your face during a play. Not Brady, he always makes sure his plastered down and to the front...same way, all the time. Hiding something...

I've said it before, he's still a NW2 with a naturally big forehead. All the bad pictures of him are just him with wet, short hair. Now that's it's long, it's hiding his not-quite-full hairline.

You know who's hairline I like? Brett Favre's. Dude is 41 and still rocking a great hairline.

Brady did not have any work done. He may use Revivogen, minoxidil or even Proxiphen to thicken up his existing hair. You can see his hairline is uneven and has small thin spots in it that a transplant would have fixed. When his hair is shorter you can just see his NW2 much more defined. Brady and I have the exact same hairline and high forehead but I think I might have slightly less temple recession and I can pull off the no hair loss look too as long as I wear my hair a certain way. In photos you would think I have Elvis hair but in person my hair is actually thinner in texture. Photos can be deceiving. Brady really only has minor thinning even in his worst photos. If he was going to have major hair loss it would have shown by now.
With signing a contract for 72 million and having a highly paid model wife, Brady will always have enough money to maintain his current hair situation. I would not be surprised if he came on this forum for some info on his free time and read some posts to do some research on how to improve his hair. I would not be surprised if he has some Proxiphen and Nano shampoo stashed away in his house. That with minoxidil and quarterly injections of PRP would definitely improve his hair. PRP definitely slowed hair loss down for me. Thats all it really does but people were expecting more than that and Greco said that most people just maintain and don't have to use Propecia if they get it on a regular basis. Brady can afford to get PRP on a regular basis for the rest of his life but in the future he will benefit from other treatments no matter the cost. So don't expect Brady's hair to change much over the years because he obviously cares alot about it. His wife obviously may care more about it too so you know he will do everything in his power to make sure he keeps it looking good.

Irish, you are too funny. Don't worry about PRP. Its very expensive and in most cases you may not notice it does anything. After I had it done, I definitely saw a decline in shedding and my hair loss seemed to slow down alot. All I can say is I had some few bare areas that had not filled in for over a year. I am at the 4 month mark where things are supposed to be more obvious and I do see some new hairs finally growing in those areas. My hair is really starting to feel thicker but I use so many things there is no telling what has helped. I know for a fact the Revita Cor is the best conditioner I have ever used and maybe it has helped improve my hair too. I am now trying Renokin too. Renokin is good for age related hair loss so I hope to benefit from it.
Irish, keep things simple for yourself. Stick to the two most proven hair loss treatments and don't waste your money on anything else. I am just one of those suckers who tries everything that comes on the market that sounds somewhat convincing to try. Renokin seems like it may do something positive. I use all the arsenal I can so I can keep my hair until the day I die. I guess Brady and I have something in common. We both care alot about our hair and our looks. I did not want my post to go off topic too much so I had to bring Brady's name into my post.
I think the next step in PRP will be to mix it with Acell's "magic" powder and you can count on me to give it "shot"(no pun intended). Ok enough about PRP, lets get back to Brady. I would trade places with him any day.

Definitely had a sneaky little transplant. My hair is in a better state than the bad pics of Brady's (yes when mine is wet), my hair line is stronger than his and more dense than when he had it shaved down. I've been on minoxidil + Propecia for over 8 months but I couldn't get thickness anywhere near what Brady has now.
He may not have had his highline moved down at all, but he certainly got it thickened up. I'd gladly bet my house on it because I know I'd win another house while keeping my own :)

Power to him though, I would do the same thing if I was in his position.

Why do you guys keep insisting he thickened it up? It looks like the same thickness as when it was short, it's just a lot longer.

He doesn't have super thick Elvis hair or anything.

I think it's got something to do with how his hair is now thicker

His hair currently looks nothing like that photograph. Not even close. His temples are not nearly as receded and his hair is way thicker all around.

Apparently you don't know that wet hair looks a lot thinner than dry.
