Will a two-week break from finasteride cause issues?

So, long story short... the Doctor that was so helpful and prescribed my 5mg finasteride left the state. Obviously I had to find a new doctor, which I didn't think would be a problem.

Well, 2 MDs and one PA later, I have no prescription. One of them even went on a rant about the drug and told me there was "no way" she'd prescribe it. Even went as far as saying that I should not be having intercourse while on it. =\

Finally decided to go to a dermatologist that specializes in hairloss -he seems like a really decent guy-, but he can't see me for two weeks. I was just curious if a 2-week break from the drug was gonna cause issues? I don't think it's enough time for whatever DHT exists to do much damage, but eh... I'd hate to destroy the progress I've made over the past year. I suppose I'm just looking for comments to ease my mind and venting! Left a nice little review of that PA with the clinic, at least. =D

It's not going to damage your hair, but it'll disturbe your endocrine system. Treatment should be consistent. You shouldn't pause. I wouldn't worry about it, but avoid this in the future.

good to hear it won't make a difference. I've been waiting for my shipment of finasteride from inhouse and haven't taken a pill for two weeks. Picking it up from the post-office tomorrow though. I thought my hairline got worse but I'm sure it's just my imagination.
