will cold weather damage your hair?

i never wore a hat during winter and was just wondering if the cold weather could damage your hair?...
my hair i think is damaged from the cold weather and just wondering what i could do to fix my hair.

it might damage your hair.. but it in no way going to affect hair loss.

Hey, if you really believe that a hat can damage your hair, I have a bridge i would like to sell you! Whoever told you that is not very smart in that dept...My sister is a professional hairdresser, hats have NO EFFECT!!! Other than maybe drying the scalp..But with colder weather, the scalp does tend to dry a bit...But do not worry about hats and damage... :lol:

i believe during the cold winter, the air are less moisturalized (less oxygen and water) in it, so make your hair and scalp goes dry... in that case, it will make your scalp not as healthy. If you are already losing hair, it may accelerate your hair loss but it is not the original cause. the original cause is, you guessed it, DHT
