Will dutasteride work for me

So I started Finasteride 17 days ago and I am experiencing side efffects.... the thing is I am experiencing none of the common ones. In fact libido is up and I feel just as good if not better.

What is happening is that I am developing a rash, they look like hives but they don't itch.

My plan is to cut the finasteride down to .5mg and if the side effects don't go away then get on dutasteride.

My thinking is that since my side effect is uncommon and isn't sexual or gyno or brain fog it could be something specific to finasteride that is causing this and dutasteride would not cause the same issue.

What do you guys think?

Dutasteride cannot be a treatment option if Finasteride has been causing side effects.

Read the whole post please. I developed a skin rash not ED or gynecomastia, so it could be the pill itself or an allergy to finasteride.

Finasteride and Dutasteride are two similar but different molecules, talking to my doctor and the pharmacist they were pretty optimistic that dutasteride could work for me due to my side effect simply being a skin rash.

Thanks unfortunately I tried to do that but the rash continued to worsen. I discontinued finasteride and now I am on dutasteride

Hey, where did you develop the rash on your body? At the one year mark on finasteride, I had a big shed, increased libido, and after about a week or two of this I developed a rash under my armpit and was really sensitive to cologne and what not. Wonder if we both had an adverse reaction...
