Here are some pics of my hair.

I've been losing my hair since late 2011. So it has been about 3 years now. It's still not that noticeable when I cut it short but I can't style my hair at all.

I lost most of my hair in a 3 month period during spring 2012. I started rogaine foam in august 2013 and used it once a day until may 2014 when I stopped using it (big mistake) since I started losing a lot of hair during that period. I started up again in July 2014.

I began finasteride 1mg generic on september 11, 2014. No sides or results yet, maybe a shed since my hair looks worse than it did 2 months back which could also be to due to the rogaine 5% foam.

THESE ARE SEMI-WET PICS:

So judging by the pics will I be able to get good re-growth or no?

All depends on whether or not you will get sides on finasteride. It cannot be told by the pictures of your hair, whether or not you will have good regrowth. But if you've had the shed, you should be seeing some regrowth soon.

No it does not depend on whether you get sides or not. Some people get sides, persist with it and still hair goes to shyt. The only way you ll know is by taking it and waiting for 14 15 months and making a good assesment. Everybody reacts differently to the drug. Best of luck!

It does depend on sides, because you shouldnt be continuing the drug if you get them

That is a very subjective matter! and FYI for some people the sides went away after persisting with the drug. Check zeroheats story. Good day!
btw how old are you?

Yeah, but if you are feeling some gyno sides, guess they won't be going away that quickly, not until a surgery. For me, that is the scariest thing. And I have only had 2 doses, and feel like I have tits.

I am 20 years old.

How are you doing with the regimen?

you have pretty much all the factors of a good responder so yeah I would expect you to get some decent results most of the time

and about gyno finasteride will only induce gyno in 1 in 250 users.

Hey guys I'm back so over the last 10 months or so I have noticed I am not losing as much hair. I try to take 1mg finasteride everyday although I forget some days lol. I'm thinking about getting off rogaine now since I have these black bags under my eyes and wrinkles there. The finasteride I think has maintained my hair for the most part I am not sure though I might have lost some ground. I haven't had re growth. I cannot style my hair that is how bad it is but I don't think anyone can tell I am losing my hair.

I will probably get a hair Transplant when I have enough money so that I can style my hair without looking like I am losing my hair. At my current state I can never go into pools because I get the horseshoe appearance thats how thin my hair is lol.

I really wish I got on finasteride when I was 16 or 17 because I might have been able to style my hair today...just goes to show how quickly diffuse thinners can lose.

THE FOLLOWING ARE FROM OCTOBER 2014:

Don't know if it's the quality of your pics but your hair LOOKS much thicker in the update. Don't know it's an illusion but looks a good deal denser on the top scalp.

It's made your hair much thicker... Idk how you can't tell lol. Go to your barber and get a .5 or 1 on the sides and 4 on top and watch the girls flock my friend

That looks like great results bro! Have you been doing well on finasteride? Any side effects or sheds etc? I may just go for that and Nizoral because I don't want to commit myself to the application of rogaine just yet. I think your hair has gotten better for sure though. I'd say you're a Norwood 2.

I'm pretty sure I had a minor shed in fall 2014 but I honestly did not pay much attention during those months due to working long hours and university, I also buzzed it in December which made it harder to tell.

Finasteride hasn't given me any side effects.
