hey i haven't posted in a while because i decided to just keep doing finasteride/min/nizoral, been on finasteride for about 3 months now, but i am dying. i feel SOOOO weak and tired compared to before, i get exhausted just climbing stairs or cleaning up around the house, and i'm a pretty athletic guy. also i feel so much more lazy, ie: today i thought id go to my friends house, but now im just so exhausted i feel like im gonna pass out...and lotta times when i stand up real quick i get super dizzy like im about to faint....i cant take it anymore and i dont really see that its helping much either so im getting pretty frustrated. :alien:

i hear finasteride side effects usually go away with time, so if i keep taking it will i get my energy back?

also i started taking it in the evenings hoping it will help me be less tired, but i'm still tired :(

i wish i knew why some of us suffered these side effects and some dont, i am the same way when i take the full 1mg dose, try halfing your dose man, a bit less hair growth and more energy is def a good tradeoff, we already let hair ruin our life mentally, dont make it ruin it physically. i too am forced to take a .25mg dosage a day due to fatigue/gyno.

I used to get those dizzy spells too, was pretty bad for a while but at the time I didn't associate it with finasteride, there were times I would blank out for a second and sort of come too falling to the ground, it would happen so quickly but I would just pass out for like half a second and come too, hard to explain. They have since stopped happening though. Interesting but yeah I have kept up the 1.25 mg dose for 2 years now and am fine as of today.

Alot of people get initial sides, when i first started finasteride i wasnt able to orgasm correctly for a week, had problems taking a dump and also felt so bad i almost passed out several times. Pretty scary sh*t, but sides subsided and been taking it everyday for more then 4years now.

You're not suffering fatigue from finasteride. You might be suffering it from something else, but it's not finasteride.

You'd rather start something that didn't make it to the market because of cardiac side effects than start something that has been on the market for more than 25 years with an excellent safety profile?

I think finasteride does cause a syndrome - finasteride psychosis syndrome. You guys are nuts.

Can RU heart problems?

LOL such petty logic.. lets avoid a drug we know basically inside out at this point, and have A BUNCH of testimonials about. Instead ill opt for a drug that does nothing, didnt make it through safety trials, and can directly effect your heart.

Just because you have the pros and cons of finasteride in your face doesnt make it a scarier drug than RU. Instead id be worried about putting a chemical on my head that people link directly to heart palpitations and have to reduce dose in order to cope with them thinking thier using an effective treatment for hairloss.. RU DOESNT DO ANYTHING. I've never seen one success story WITH PICS from someone solely on RU... prove me wrong, i dare you.

I was thinking finasteride/dutasteride was causing me fatigue, then I got better sleep for 2-3 nights in a row and realized that's not the case. HOWEVER, hormonal changes, which these drugs cause, CAN cause sleep problems.

The stuff does dry out your skin though. I used to have oil *** skin and now I'm as dry as a witches vag.

Where did you read that about RU? That's not true at all.

i WOULDNT be surprised if RU was snake oil.

over hyped balognie.

We have no proof or research that it otherwise works.

I wasted about 200 on it back when the bandwaggon was all over RU!!!

RU58841 is the only drug I know that has been so heavily recommended for any condition with absolutely no proof of results ANYWHERE!!! Literally, there are no result threads anywhere from standalone RU usage. Its done nothing even for those with the mildest of hair loss.

OP, I'd be a bit hesitant to carry on finasteride if it was causing such dramatic sides. Even in early days the sides should no be as bad as you have described. Actually, energy levels/motivation shouldn't really be effected at all.
