Will shaving affect my hair follicles?

So, my hairline has always been really uneven and now at the age of 23 I have noticed that my weakest side is turning into a nw2(not yet though). I can see the little blond hairs around my hairline on that side. I have been thinking about doing a buzzcut because it's my favourite hairstyle. I was wondering though, if I shave them, will they grow back? Does it make a difference whenever I shave them or just let them stay? or will they fall anyway no matter if I shave them or not?

Thanks

shaving it does nothing to the follicles or the health of the hair whatsoever

the actual growing of the hairs occurs below the skin so you aren't shaving the actual follicles as you seem to think you are just cutting your hair it is no different then if you were to cut it at a longer length

no it is completely safe to shave for most people,
however - some may experience inflammation of the follicles and that is not good

Shaving won't improve the thickness of your hair at all. That's an old wive's tale. Shaving won't ordinarily damage the follicles either. However, if you're careless or have spots there, you may cut the skin, leading to folliculitis, which actually can cause more damage to the follicles. Remember to be careful and properly sterilise whatever you're using.

There's only one benefit of shaving your hair, and it's basically cosmetic. Folks with some sort of hair loss seem to use it for one of two reasons:
- The look (i.e. uneven remaining hair distribution or just not happy with extant appearance)
- Tidier regrowth. That's where I am now (see my story here). I looked mighty strange with a mix of 1cm-long hairs with numerous thick dots interspersed between.
