I don't want kids from other reasons, nothing to do with passing the hair loss gene farther. I just don't see a point in having kids and a family, I would much rather live life for myself but I wouldn't understand someone who gives up his dream about having kids only because he is bald. It's not AIDS and some people are bald and it suits them and they accept it, others go on meds and slow/stop their hairloss for 10+ years and then they are happy too.

I agree with this part, my main reason for not having kids would be that I have seen the work that is needed to raise them and the effect it has on your life the added stress and having to give up your own lifestyle. That and the overpopulation problem that will one day bring about the downfall of the planet and our species. Oh and the money it costs

And to the bottom line, even if you'll have a child in 9 months and a day, he'll be 20 in 2031 and HM is coming soon anyway, and even if not there'll be a topical DHT blocker just like RU58841 in the market soon..
Not so much in agreement with this bit.

I find this to be a very relevant and fascinating topic. Being concerned about your progeny. Most people bring children into the world to complete their own lives. There is really quite frankly little concerned for what is being passed on and whether the child would even want to live with such a thing. Thank you for bringing this topic up. It has been a concern with me and my husband. My own background is as an assistant physician in transplanting some of Hollywood's most famous men. I know just about every Hollywood actors status as far as transplantations wigs medication and health regime. It's a very small community,...........and a list actors have the same insecurities as you guys. I hope I can add to the board
. Ive noticed a huge ignorance on which stars have had what work. I can take one look and tell from experience.

Probably not, about a year ago, I was a pretty body. Now I have become an old man with thinning all over my head and aged skin (not sure, whether minoxidil or stress related.....). Of course, I haven´t lowered my standards since then.
