I am not sure about how true this is but I have read that it takes two genes for baldness in women, where as in men it only takes 1 gene. This way you can still see women who are balding but not in the same numbers as men. As I said I am not sure about the validity of that statement.

I have heard that women possess certan hormones in high quantities which prevent them from going bald....What u see with women and alopecia are exceptional cases.maybe the women havng androgentic alopecia are also candidates for studies.....

Actually, I believe they contain LESS of a certain hormone that prevents them from going bald at the same frequency as men. Namely, testosterone.

I have been looking at women's hair at work since mine started to fall out, I've noticed that they often have unusual hairlines. They often have low foreheads with their hairline quite close to their faces.

Also, their hair isn't often all that dense, and then they tend to wear it long. Often their front hairline can be quite thin for the first few centimetres.

So yeah, I guess just because they are women they don't have perfect hair. Have a look yourself, it is interesting too see the variations. Although don't get caught perving on their hair too much - just use the same discretion as when trying to look at their tits!

Womens hairstyles and fashions can also have an impact; for example pulling ones hair back into a tight pony tail will often result in a quite diffuse hairline, while extensions can cause temporary thin hair etc.
