Worried About My Results At 4 Months - Are These Okay And Is This It?

It's been 4 months to the day since I had my transplant (5000 grafts). Unfortunately I don't have any clear before pictures but I have attached my pictures from 2 weeks post op and my pictures that I have taken just now. Basically he thin areas you see in the current pictures are the parts I had done - temples and hairline brought down a little.

My issue is that it looks very thin for 4 months post op. There are some "stubbly" hairs that are just coming through in the front centre but I can't see any new ones like this in the left and right temples. I know that most doctors would say patience is key but I'm worried is this as thick as it is going to get? Most of the hairs are growing to a decent length.

4 months is super early man, give it at least a full year before you lose your mind.

That's what I keep reading but since a lot of hairs have come through but they are just very sparse it worries me and makes me think all of the hairs have sprouted early and no more will come through.

If it looks like that at 6 months, there won't be a great change at month 12. Next two months will determine if any more grafts start to sprout. Currently you're behind for sure at month 4 and it looks quite very thin and pluggy.

Thanks for your reply. Now I'm quite worried. What should it look like at month 4?

I can't understand how it looked pretty full 2 weeks post op but is now very thin.

5000 grafts or 5000 hairs? Without a doubt that is not 5000 grafts.

Yes 5000 grafts although a lot of grafts were used towards the back and vertex of the head and behind my hairline. So probably 2000 - 3000 at the very front.

At 2 weeks you are unlikely to had shed a significant amount of the transplanted hairs. The initial pics clearly do not show 5000 grafts. There aren't 3000 grafts in that frontal area.

Horrible incision work with poorly angled hairs and poor and uneven density. The photos on their website look poor too.

Take a look at this anyone interested in getting an FUE, you go with a shitty UK clinic with a shitty reputation and don't do your research and this is what you get.

What should my next step be? The purpose of this hair transplant was to stop suicidal thoughts and if it's going to look terrible what can I do?

Wait it out to at least the 6-8 month mark before making final judgement, then if you're still interested in another procedure look into Lupanzula, ******** and Feriduni in Belgium and Erdogan in Turkey (quite a bit cheaper).

Also you ought to get on finasteride if you can to maintain the rest of your remaining hair.

Don't make any rash judgements. You're not in a terrible place and you have ample options and time to do this properly in the future. You'll be fine if you go with a more accomplished surgeon for a repair.

I don't have the money. This was my last hope.

If your results don't work out try to get a refund.

I signed a contract that this was non refundable. I'm confused though as most of the results I've been shown by the surgeon seemed great and I met a client beforehand who had a procedure and his looked perfect. It wasn't arranged he was simply going to visit the clinic for a prescription and I asked him about what he had done. I asked her about him and his before photos were a huge difference from what he had that day.

This guy seems to have had great results:-

And these look good:-

Is it possible that I'm a slow grower? I've read countless times surgeons say you must wait 8 months to a year or is this different because the hair is actually coming through already in my case?

I am on Propecia and Rogaine by the way.

Yes it's possible, although from the 2 weeks post-op the work clearly lacks refinement and density + the angles are off. Again I am 99% sure you didn't get 5000 grafts.

Have you ever seen results like this get better over time? My main issue is that my hairline has actually been brought forward/down by about a centimetre so if that doesn't thicken up I will basically have a thin section of hair in front of my old hairline which I can't do anything with and will look worse than before the procedure.

No matter how bad people say the results look I haven't seen any that look worse after the procedure than before.

Also out of curiosity when I very first had the transplant I was worried that I had removed the scabs too early although I only rubbed them away at around day 5 and later as they were loose anyway and there was no bleeding so a lot of people reassured me that this was fine. I actually started a thread about it here:-

Could this contribute to the issue or is what I see pretty much what I got?
