Taug, tell me why you think you are ugly? Don't give me examples of what other people have pointed out. I want to know why you feel you are ugly.

1. At school my classmates often teased me about it. It was not even meant as an insult, they just pointed it out.
2. I look disgusting on pictures. When I look into the mirror I am ok with my looks, but when I take a look at my picturesuke:
3. People on HotorNot confirmed that I am ugly. I think it would take some time to find a guy who is young and not fat with a low rating similiar to mine.
4. My pen friend´s girlfriend confirmed that I am ugly when he showed her my picture.
Result: I must be ugly

DoctorHouse said::bravo: I finally got you to admit, when you look at yourself in the mirror you think you are OK which is not ugly. Wow, I think I probably have made more progress than your psychiatrist. I know you are fine with your looks because you seem to have no problem posting them online for everyone to see. A person who is embarrassed with how they look would never post online even if it is total strangers. A few more psychiatry sessions with me and I will have you dating in no time.unk:

And that completely debunks #3,4 because those are based on pictures anyway.
Taugenichts said:Well, take a look at #1! And my lack of attention from women strongly hints to my ugliness as well. Furthermore I can´t call myself an unbiased judge of my own looks!

But if you want to live a life as a lonely old virgin, that is your choice too. If I lived in the same town as you, I would have you dating hot looking women.
None of these really hold any water at all...Taug said:1. At school my classmates often teased me about it. It was not even meant as an insult, they just pointed it out.

Since this is quite logical, it's amazing how many people don't understand this concept, even after you've explained it a few times to them. Basically the fact you can't read writing on a shirt while looking in the mirror, while you can in a photo, should explain it straight away.Aker said:Mirrors are a distorted image of reality...when you look at yourself in a mirror, you are looking at yourself backwards. Faces aren't perfectly symmetrical, but people are generally used to the image they see in a mirror. That is what you look like to yourself since you generally don't see yourself as often in other ways. When you see yourself in a photograph, that represents what you look like to other people, but you just aren't used to it. You're the only one who sees it this way, because you've always seen yourself backwards, and only your mind is going to think that something isn't right. Everyone probably thinks they look better in a mirror, because that's what they're used to..but really, we don't look better or worse either way, it's just a difference of perspective.

Although I don't particularly care for the current way your have your hair (curly poof) and I think it looks better buzzed or just shorter. It's kinda hard to go wrong with a short or buzz cut unless you have a horribly shaped head, which you do not appear to have.
I have suffered from self confidence problems all my life. When I was younger, it was because I was too skinny. Growing up, I was REALLY skinny, ethiopean style and being called 'bones' and other skinny names really effected me. As I got older I put on weight and no longer worry about being skinny, now it's the reverse and I still suffer from low self opinion issues at times, but it's much better than before. You just gotta get over that because it's a waste of your young prime years. I'm 31 years old and I spent all of my twenties trying to change myself, never satisfied with who I was, always wanting a better, more 'proportionate' body. I only recently have snapped out of hating my looks (although I still have my moments) and now all I have are my 30s and 40s to have fun, I f***** and lost my 20s forever. Don't worry so much, get some perspective. There are SOOOO many people in the world who look way way way worse than you. They are disfigured, disabled, obese, f***** up face etc. You're no Johnny Depp, but you are not a bad looking guy. Just be happy with what you have. Do what you can to make improvements to boost your self opinion, but dont let it wreck your youth the way I did. Believe me, it goes by VERY fast.
DoctorHouse said:Taug, what can I say, you and CCS are definitely celebrities on this whole forum. When you both post, you get the most supportive comments of any poster yet ironically, your negative attitude about yourself never changes. Too bad your popularity is amongst a bunch of men losing their hair instead of a bunch of hot women losing their cherry to YOU. :shakehead:

This is something that I've noticed from reading the posts of CCS and Taug, it seems the older they get and the more time they spend missing out on having a good time, women etc the higher and higher they set thier ambitions for the future. Its almost like they feel that they have to not only start living but they also have to make up for everything that they've already missed.
I think in their heads its not enough to be able to get a girl, they want to be so attractive that they can have any girl (and have other guys being jealous). Kind of like revenge for everything they've missed out on.

Don't you have any friends or family members that can fix you up with some women.
