I keep seeing this word, in regards to Propecia usage mostly.

I know about women's gynocological needs, but what does this have to do with the word 'gyno' in reference to men's hair loss?

I'm confused, would somebody set me straight?

Thanks!

Basically finasteride affects testosterone levels in the body and simultaneously boosts estrogen (female hormones) in the body as well. Some individuals experience gyno which occurs when your hormonal balance is upset. Gyno entails the possible formation of female traits such as breast enlargement. Gyno symptoms seem to subside once finasteride is discontinued.

If I had gyno, I would never have to leave the house.

Gyno is something that really sucks when you have it but apparantly it's funny when you don't...very much like baldness in that respect...Unfortunately I've been fighting Gyno for 3 months, but have had some success.

Here's some info on it if you're interested.
