I'm not in to men, but the second pic looks cleaner, more adult, and frankly what I see most women go for.

I disagree. I think you see more women going for that because at our age its whats available to them. My brother still has his juvenile hairline and a few other guys I know. They do very well and are complimented on their hair all the time.
My hairline is SOOOOOO far beyond even matures its disgusting.

I guess were going to disagree then. The other pick looks shaggy and unkempt, to me. Like what a 16 year old, who only showers every once in a while, would do. Even if my hair were that thick I wouldn't have it that way.

maybe the style isnt suiting atm but picture it parted nicely to the side. Im sure any women would take it.

We can disagree though, thats fine to.

People who honestly believe a NW2/NW3 looks better than a NW1/juvenile hairline are kidding themselves.

It's more about the density than the hairline in my opinion, NW3 is pushing it though.

lol it's the exact same hairline in both pictures :shakehead: The only difference is in the first pic he's pushing the hair forward and down and creating a puffy quiff to make his forehead appear smaller (I used to use that trick all the time back in the days when I still had some sort of hairline) in the second pic his hair is shorter which makes his forehead look bigger obviously, and on top of that he is spiking the hair up and off the forehead in a rigid quiff which makes the forehead look even more huge.

It only highlights the massive importance of hairstyle if you are balding/naturally have a big forehead like this guy, you have to be very careful and crafty about how you cut and style your hair to get the absolute max out of your look.

It's best to ignore most of these trendy styles.... all they do is attract attention to your balding/massive forehead/bad headshape, do whatever style suits your specific head best and stick with that.

Only someone with minimal to no balding would make a comparison like this. The difference between the two pictures is negligable to an nw5.

lol The 1st 2 pictures are of him being in the same age. I was comparing the 1st 2 pictures with the 3rd one lol.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was comparing too. As UCMan pointed out the difference in hair between the 3rd andd 1st pics is negligible if anything, simply a different hair cut and style.

Primo, what styles do you recommend? I'm a receder, not a diffuse.

For a non diffusing receder up to NW3.5, I would personally recommend short on sides and back. Longer on the top and longer still on the fringe or "bangs". Leaving the rest of the hair short takes attention away from the receding hairline and the longer fringe gives the appearance of a smaller forehead, thereby giving you more frame and proportion to your face.

I used to do what that guy does in the 1st and 2nd pics with a nw3, construct a fake quiff half way down my forehead lol, but curve it in slightly at the temples to make it look more natural...

I prefer the second look, much cleaner. He looks more like a man as opposed to a manchild. His facial hair is pretty pathetic though.
