Or, like in the M*A*S*H* episode where they ran out of morphine, they gave their patients a placebo and told them it was morphine, just in the hopes their would be a beneficial psycho-somatic effect..

Didn't they use warm milk or something? :)

nope i usually jump the gun...but i googled it as well...thanks

so is the FDA telling the truth that people had just as many sides with placebo?

The FDA isnt telling people anything, the FDA simply evaluates information they are given.

The placebo is powerful.

Its why your having such a hard time deciding what to do Jm0311. Its already in your head that you will have problems which is why studies need a placebo group to try to get an idea how many people are really having problems vs how many people imagine problems.

I don't know. Sounds like something Hotlips Hoolihan would suggest though. :)

Almost supermarket shampoos like Pantene, Garnier, Loreal etc... make my hair lifeless, itchy, oily and i lost tons of hair while showering. Beware.

Remember, shedding is not always a bad thing, infact it may be a sign the shampoo is working as the follicles are getting sent signals to make stronger hair, but before they can do that they have to loose their current hair...

beaner,

I never heard of that. Thanks for sharing the insight. Though could would you describe be related to what jedi described as his experience???

My experience may have been similar. The reaction didn't seem to happen until after the 3rd or 4th use. After the 1st wash or two with it I actually loved the way it left my hair. Subsequent washes, though, were not as nice. My hair was left oily which I couldn't get clean with anything and my scalp was tender and inflamed. The color of my hair actually changed from a dark brown to a much lighter color with red highlights...very strange, and I was shedding like a mofo. I did a bit of research and finally found an article indicating the sulfa allergy and use of ket was the culprit. I immediately ceased use, began Tricomin which helped the inflammation and oiliness. It resolved itself in a month or two.

I recently started w/ Tricomin as my pre-shampoo shampoo before shampooing w/ Revita shampoo.

In my case they make a good shampoo combo.

PS: yeah, tric is advertized as a dht fighting shampoo - but I don't believe that to be true. It (like revivogen and nano) are just very nice shampoos (IMHO).

I have all my vendor info on my other PC - if you remind me Monday I can give you a few sources.

But if you go to amazon.com and do a search you should find a "Longview Farms" brand which is quite good.

DS labs claim that shedding during the intial 2 weeks are a good sign, but that would have to mean that this shampoo is incredibly effective.

Since starting Revita, the hair in my hands during showering has gone up from about 0-2 hairs to about 5-7 hairs. I've just hit the two week mark. I also started taking a powerful assortment of multivitamins around the same time, but I don't think that vitamins would do it.

I've started Spectral DNC (minoxidil) a week ago and when I apply it on the back, I get quite a bit of hairs on my fingers as well....shedding I guess. Again, 2 weeks is what DS claims....more than that and you should stop.

In an effort to seperate the Spectral and Revita effects, I may stop Revita temporarily (at least a week)....at least until I see the shedding stop with Spectral DNC. At the same time, I've already ridden out 2 weeks with Revita....

American Crew is my least favorite shampoo, my hair looks more matted, and it's probably because it has conditioner like ingredients.

It's been a while since I posted here, but the shampoo has a nice smell and I've had good expieriences with it. I'm giving it 6 months to see if there's any improvement.

Revita=Shed

I've never had a shed in my life until I tried Revita. Two weeks have gone by and the shed is only getting worse. Normally there are 0 hairs in my hands afer showering. Now there are 20 or so. I'm done with this product until some real studies can confirm that its effective. Has anyone else experienced this? Has the shed ever stopped?

You should never quit anything during shedding. You have to stay on stuff 6-12 months before you can decide that it does not work.

i've been using revita for a month now... 5 days on, 2 off only at night. No shedding. This shampoo is very gentle on your scalp. Try rinsing the gel out before you lather. The lather properties of this shampoo are much weaker, considering they use mild detergents.

Personally the only thing I notice with Revita was a slight scalp itch i had. That was only the first week when I used it 7 days in a row... So who knows 8)

EDIT: I'll be dropping revita because of the new home-made topical I am producing. I mainly used revita for the emu-oil, caffine, and ket

My Revita arrived today.

I just seem to "shed" or lose at least 20 hairs a day each time I wash my hair (probably more), so I'm not sure that switching shampoos will make a difference on that front.

Otherwise, I'm looking forward to using the stuff and will report back if I get any results either way!
