I put a pic of my hair in 2017 (short hair pic) for comparison. My hairline was dead straight.

There’s the possibility that it magically stops receiding at this level but come on now, I’m just 20 and I have this hairline..

I know there are far worse cases on here but that doesn’t make my faith any brighter

My dad has a nw1 (ie better hairline than mine) at his 60s

EDIT: Yes I let my widows peak grow so it further accentuates the appeareance of recession

The only thing I can tell you is my own experience.

I noticed my hair line recede at 22, I was a Norwood 0 (no such thing actually but I had this rounded tombstone shaped hair line), and within about a year I suddenly became a Norwood 2. Very obvious recession.

I panicked. I thought at that rate I'd be bald in 10 years.

I wasn't . I stayed Norwood 2 for 15 years. I'm 44 today and I'm a Norwood 3 vertex. I used no treatment until the last few months. So it's possible that you'll be fine for a long time. You just got a "mature Hair line".

Maybe you were losing ground the whole time (in a very slow fashion) but it wasn't dramatic enough for you to notice?

How much hairs were you shedding? a usual amount ?

I want to keep my dense curly hair as full as possible

It's possible I was losing hair but at a very, very slow rate. But the point is it didn't look like I lost hair at all for 15 years, and as long as I didn't look like I was losing hair, I didn't care.

If you're in the same boat that I was in and can maintain visually for 15 years maybe there will be a cure around by the time you really need it.

Thank you

What about the shedding? was it gradually increasing in that 15 years span?

1 year later, hairline and density are exact same

maybe mature hairline do exist after all
