OMG THE END OF TIMES!
there will be plenty of people who still wants kids but in the west most people should be stopping at ONE. We have an overpopulation problem here NO ONE is addressing.
Also YES if more people thought like me and waited before making the decision of marriage and kids we would have more stable families, more financially upper class families, better role models for the kids since they would ACTUALLY have some friggin life lessons besides high school to teach. Its a shame I had no actual role models or way showers in my life. I made many of my own decision that cost me time and money. Now imagine if I had a kids 10 or even 5 years ago?
My mentality has to be beaten into the youth of today but in actuality my country has the laden dream of simply becoming a military for hire and we cant do that with out TONS of uneducated and unneeded/expendable young men to send into battle.
Look at your countries. You offer free schooling, decent healthcare, more structured families. You offer reasons for people to further themselves. My country expects you to take out loans to in debt yourself to others and basically become legally bonded slave labor.
Again this would go int politics.
Fred I am not wrong on this, Im a big man and can say when Im wrong but Im not. We are in different worlds. Also again didnt I STATE
"I have always had a mature mind set, very goal oriented and responsible. I lived on my own at a young age, put myself through school and maintained a healthy lifestyle"
Where did I EVER say I was a only based in having fun? I dont think I ever did.

For YOU to also say YOU want to go out with women and have your choices but you wont "
reward some used up woman in her late 30's who wanted to sl*t it up and to be a workaholic way past her prime" is VERY hypocritical. 30 is NOT past a prime. Its honestly just reach prime life. Its when you finally screwed up in your twenties and HAVE some experience to teach, for both men AND women.
Whats wrong with a woman who has had some life experiences, decided what she is REALLY looking for and has a career? To me you want an indentured woman not a partner. You want to be a wh*** but wont take a wh***?
Some of my best female friends and even GF's were w****s just like me.

seriously when my podcast gets rolling I would love to have you skype in some time in the future. We can convo about relationships, politics on our countries and baldness.

simply sounds like your friend never established a personality in his life. some people are like that and then latch to the first thing that comes along. this is how cults grow.

He had a personality, just no confidence or experience whatsoever with girls and that's what happens with these guys who just sit on their arse and expect quality women to just fall straight into their lap with no effort or trial and error.

He's completely whipped and took the very first thing that came along because he was THAT desperate and needy, despite being a good looking guy, with a good job and money he could have attracted a much, much higher quality woman in looks, personality and status if he had only tried. This girl still has no job and just leeches of him, while he converts to a radically different and incompatible culture and lifestyle purely to appease her.

This is nothing to do with religion either, my mother's irish family are very religious themselves and I respect that immensely. My point is it just shows how far these inexperienced, needy and insecure guys are willing to bendover backwards for these types of emotional, dominant and manipulative women who control them at the flick of a switch.

Swingline, I understand your points and agree with some of them but I am unclear on something. What is it exactly that you want? Hair obviously but what do you want to do with it? Just be pursued by young women? Beat your brother? I'm not being an ***, just curious.

Just to feel like I used to in the pics above the one I recently posted. I used to be very confident and happy. Still a butthole but a happy one.
I only use my brother because
1) its a good example that yes hair makes a difference. Me and him do look very similar in some ways. He is like me with good hair. Its a way to say to people "you are wrong, life could be different with a good head of hair"
2) its sucky when you start to look up to your younger brother because genetically he was physically better. It should not be that way in life unless you YES have a serious disability. its like that movie twins with danny devito and arnold.

Do I want to be pursued by young women? Sure, who doesnt.
Mostly again I just want to feel like ALL the work I put into my life counts for something and to me thats having an attractive girl by my side to finalize things. Most attractive women who stand by a bald man are looking for a ring and children, two things they WONT get from me. The women who dont want that yet are attractive, are the independent ones who demand the top notch physical man which due to my male pattern baldness I am not now.
I want to feel whole again. Thats what I want

2bald2young, I have BDD, so trust me, although my hair loss is minor compared to a lot of you, it eats me up inside. However, when I see people like Fred's situation or Exodus, I feel worse for them and realize I got lucky. I hate to see people in emotional pain when they are so young. I enjoy trying to give positive emotional support as it is kind of therapy for me. I know I can't change my unhappy past but maybe I can do it for someone else. My goal is to try to get the newbies from going down a path of loneliness and depression. Life was never meant to be about doom and gloom. I don't really post here much anymore. I kind of moved on as I has accepted the fact that hair is not my issue. It's my emotional scars and baggage from my earlier youth and my inability to resist envy that makes me miserable. I have to learn how to let it go. I guess that is about the only thing I have in common with some of you people.

You are in insanely good physical shape yourself for someone who is not a professional athlete and 30+ lol. Also, if the descriptions of your brother are anything to go by I'm sure you still have a good looking face too, so I don't personally see why you wouldn't be able to able to find a casual, perfectly attractive looking female out there?...unless of course you're looking for a casual-relationship, attractive female 10+years younger than you?

Because perfectly attractive looking females have options, and bald guys are their last choice, unless they have some strange fetish.

The last attractive female I dated, around 6 months ago, had this strange fetish for old people, she was 20 and dated 60 year olds... I just finished the date as soon as I could and never again even messaged her. A normal, attractive girl, looking for someone at her age wants someone who looks that age. So if you are a NW5 at 28 it´s gonna be tough to find such women in your age range. You can only date freaks, ugly girls and women 45+. Why on earth would a hottie with thousands of options go out with a baldie who looks 25 years older?

Although from time to time we can respectfully disagree on several levels about each other's personal assessment(s) or opinions in general. After all we are individuals who aspire for greater independence. Hoping this doesn't sound overtly patronizing ,I'll exercise my privileged liberties here Dr. H to expound on your equation (Money=Power) by reciting a wise old precept; Knowledge=Power. It appears that you are on well on your way to earning an enviable Master's degree in this department. I hope you are rewarded with many more riches.

He's not bald though.... he's nw3-3.5 and he's just had a transplant on top of that.

Also, I accept it's obviously harder to attract women when you're a nw5, but not impossible depending on the the type of headshape, features, pigment etc.. it's very subjective and varies from guy to guy.

If your that convinced that only freaks and ugly girls will ever date you and being a nw5 gets you down that much, then you should do anything and everything in your power to change it, hair transplants, smp, hair systems etc...

Funny you mention women 45+ too, oddly enough I've noticed since I've had my nw4 shaved down to a shadow, that it's the older middle aged women who recoil the most at the sight of my shaved, balding head, along with the average/ugly looking girls who want the trophy boyfriend with pretty boy good looks. It's a look that divides opinion most definitely, but I've personally had a lot more young, hot girls look my way than I did when I had a grown out nw4 which aged me really badly. Headshape is not great by any means, but I have good eyes, eyebrows, skin and bone structure and the shaved look brings these to the fore and makes me look younger and more youthful in a strange way. If I let the shadow grow out to much though, it looks horrendous and the bald patch ages me badly again.

I agree I look MUCH younger with a shaved head. After my FUE I had my top longer and sides shaved to almost skin to hide it. Everyone said I looked 25 again. For some reason (my guess is because it wa good and life wont let me be satisfied) I cant repeat that same hair cut.
I have a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE forehead though so when I shave my head I literally have "the never ending FACE"!

Now as for you thinking Im NW3?

norwood_3.gif

Take that 3v
Now widen the crown about 4x
then connect the temples and make a small island of hair in the front that forming.

I am more like this charts NW5
norwood.jpg

Again I keep it long and parted to the side and pushed forward to attempt to cover it. ONE mild wind and Im royally FAWKED

as for the transplant. Remember I did have some issues with that. We can only see if it comes in. I am starting to see some growth but its minimal at best. On top of that I will need to work on the crown after.
I will have to try BTH though in the future if I at all want to look normal.

Yes I am now under medication, and will see how that goes. I've seen a bit of regrowth so that's giving me hope, especially because 3 years ago I had no signs of hairloss at all, and in 2 years I went from that to full NW5. I'm hoping that my hair can also regrow at the same speed :p

I'm happy for you that you have other features that make you look still young and possibly attractive. I agree it has to do with each person, in my case my face is more the 'cute' type, which without hair looks really stupid. Growing a beard and trying to look tough makes me look a bit better, but far from attractive.

Swingline, you made some very good points but in reality there is actually nothing much you can do but to go against what you believe and try to prove yourself wrong. Unfortunately, you did not get the great genetics in your family that you wished for but at least you have some ambition, drive and intelligence which will help you throughout life. You may never get all that you want but at least you can try to salvage whatever blessing you do have. As you get older, it only gets worse. Age will take away more from you. So its always going to be a never ending battle. However, its seems like fitness is your passion so keep at it as it is a great way to enhance your serotonin levels to make you feel more positive in your moods. I wish I could do my life over again with the attitude and knowledge I have now but that is not going to happen. Just like you wanting to be more like the norm with your hair or have what you had when you are younger. I hear you. I want my youth back too but its gone. I threw it away because of so many self image problems that I invented in my head because I thought a fitness model was the NORM. My perspective was so distorted I was no different from the guys at PUAhate. I obsessed about looking perfect and no matter what I failed. And because of my genetics, I will never achieve what I want. Your genetics is not letting you achieve what you want either. However, I have to find something in life that gives me pleasure. Otherwise, I would rather not exist. I think you would be great at helping people in fitness. I am sure you can find things to accomplish that will be very rewarding for you. Genetics are something we do not chose. Our parents just wanted to bring some children in the world to carry on the family name. I don't think they obsessed about the things we do today. My dad went bald in his early 20's. I don't think he cared if he passed on the gene to me. He just wanted to create another generation even if it meant the child got his genetics. I really believe that everything happens for a reason. Maybe you would not be so hard working and ambitious if you had the perfect genetics. Who knows for sure but losing hair definitely changed your life. Unfortunately, you have to reshuffle your cards and keep playing until you win.

My genetics were fine until it really hit after 25.
I was always ambitious.... It gained me nothing but stress and more problems.
There is no money in physical training, already looked into it years ago.
Sorry I know you want to be positive but I'm too tired in life anymore to lie to myself.
It's selfish for parents to just want carry on the genes if their genes are bad. No one in my family was very smart, none were rich or successful, none were very good at anything so in what world would passing on those genes be beneficial to the population. They knew they could not afford to help me better myself on the future leaving me to strive for middle class. I legally changed my name they disgust me so much.
It's selfish and I let them know, they need to know, more people really need to look within and see if reproducing is really what the world needs.

Youth is not the issue, I don't feel be sad about getting old, I don't think I'm immortal not worry about death. I just want to be able to maintain what I feel I ****ing worked for. You work to earn, I've earned Nada for my efforts

Awww so cute! The typical NW3 talking about how confidence is everything, and how not caring about your hairloss gets you hot girlfriends! We've all been there, but trust me, keep taking the medicine and pray to all the gods in the Olympus that your hair loss stops.

Also, most of us don't whine. We live in a positive way, work out, and do a great amount of things to become better every day. But we are realistic, just like you know you can't fly, we know that an average Joe NW5 can't just date a hot, not weird, not in any strange fetish young 23 year old. Of course, there are exceptions, but those are very unlikely occurrences.

I used to think like you, especially because I never had any problems whatsoever dating the most attractive girls. And I mean really hot women; 3 years ago I dated the type of girls that when you enter a place with them you can sense the silence in the room as everyone turns around to look. That was the norm for me, so I thought: "hairloss... who cares, whatever. It's just confidence". Well, sadly it doesn't work that way. Believe me, you need to be a bit obsessed about this, and not give up.
I agree. Confidence matters, it will compensate for a lot but women are simply not attracted to bald men and it will blow you out of the water. Of course there are exceptions if you have a really good looking face and shave your head, but typically women shun baldness.

As I said, I´ve seen too many bald/ugly guys get hot girls to not believe in this. And most of them were neither rich nor bodybuilders.

And even if it was like you are saying, you would most definetly still get hotter girls, in your scenario probably no breathtaking 9s and 10s, but some cute 7s and 8s, and live a better life when you build up confidence
If you are good looking women will overlook hair loss to a degree. Example is jude law. My sister is good looking, shes about the same status of Jessica Simpson or Britney Spears. She had a really good looking boyfriend who was a very high 9/10 who ended up going completely bald. With hair she was all over him, now that he has the tonsure **** she wont even touch him or consider dating him now because its too repulsive to her. He is kind of sissy though so interpret that how you want. But on the other hand, she did date a good looking guy who was bald who shaved his head completely and liked him for his personality. She also dated a guy with a visible bald spot in the back and didn't care. She also dated a guy who was about a NW3 but when he became a NW3 he lost his confidence and she started to doubt dating him but I think it had to do more with his confidence than his hair. Point is my sister is pretty vain and if she will date bald guys than all women will probably date bald guys just as long as you are not ugly. It depends on your looks. If you are ugly bald than you are **** out of luck. If you are good looking bald than baldness probably wont be an issue especially if you are confident.

I agree that baldness doesn't look bad on everyone. It looks bad on the majority, but there are a few exceptions. The bald guys your sister dated are likely among the few ones that can pull off a shaved head without looking stupid.

About being 'confident', that's not a real thing. I really don't know who started that, probably women to avoid looking superficial. I know plenty of guys who are all the opposite of confident, can barely afford rent, are not really bright, and even not that attractive, but with their full heads of hair are very active in the dating scene -not with the hottest girls, but with 6s or 7s, a number that is way out of the league of most bald guys--.

Confident is one of TWO things, lets be serious here

A guy who is good looking and "confident", shows it and is not a complete azzhule is a confident attractive man

A guy who is NOT good looking and "confident", shows it and is not a complete azzhule..... well hes still just considered an azzhule, because people will go "whats up with that azzhule? acting like hes the shet!"

Trust me on this. You can be good looking and modest OR confident and be fine, but if you aren't good looking and not super RICH or famous (or both) you better be modest or people will just label you a jerk. You can try "funny" but more often than not you get landed in the friend zone if you're funny.

Look at how Fred says girls react to him. They think hes an arrogant prick, cause he probably acts confident with them. Hes not exceptionally great looking (no offense fred) so they cant figure out why he acts like that. So to them hes just an arrogant jerk. We work from the outside in, all creatures do. When I was good looking, I was still confident and funny and though women thought I could be a jerk they knew why (mostly I have a weird sense of humor that comes off insulting to most). Now Im just an ***.

Whether you're bald or not, I believe the harsh truth is that the varying degrees to which we rely on others (maybe women in particular) to ingratiate or elevate our egos/vanity, pretty much measures the level of power, even the passing stranger potentially has over our overall sense of well being. Injured pride is one tell tale side effect or example. We all know from experience how it some how takes only some small incident, resulting in a disappointed expectation outcome to cause the remainder of a once promising day/evening to go head first, topsy turvy.

We could interminably wax on possible reasons and philosophize to the tomb why it is that hair loss touches us so deeply, but that's unlikely to neither alter the distressing state of our minds, hearts, physical appearance(s). Do I allow my perception and/or my these habitual impulses tell me what other people (even strangers) think about my appearances and personality? Damn right I have and damn right I still do. Through my formative years of self erudite, repetitious, and mental adverse processing mode I have become a regularly whipped and paranoid servant to ME, my greatest critic. For many of us here it is we ,our greatest critic ,who is the quickest to reject us and take up arms with external like minded forces. Those whom turn against us (personal/professional status need not apply)/ by striking our most vulnerable/visible target(s )first. Sometimes on a sharp self awareness day, while out and about I notice it's ME waving above my head a "KICK ME HERE" sign with an arrow pointing down. If I didn't know better a big part of me is convinced I'm completely down with being down.

It's been debated many times and in many ways why we struggle so badly with our hair loss and to be fair, like different treatments work differently for each of us, there is not one size or answer that can simply articulate or succinctly explain our plight as bald men. Studying who we are is essential to all men seeking emotional wellness and mental growth, but even this has it's limits because our individual emotional tendencies superimpose themselves, making it impossible to perform a perfectly objective self-analysis. This limitation is not meant to be perceived as a flaw, but rather it is defining marker of what it means to be fundamentally human.

Finally I'll sum up my verbose gyrations up in the fitting poetry of an associate and dear friend of mine, "Although none of us see life the same, From time to time some of us have felt the shame, and in my prime I muscle to stay on top of my game, Just 'cause the pursuit of true happiness ain't a crime, in my mind's eye, Reality stops on a dime and light filters from behind all those holes in that claim, and I see none of us all are innocent, Cause we all too quick to blame".

We've heard this all before. It's not until you've lived as a bald man can you fully comprehend. It's no picnic. I'm not going to get into all the details of how, why. I've already exhausted my thoughts/feelings on this. Everyone knows where I stand.
