Your Opinion: #1 back/sides, #2 on top: Norwood 3?

I'm a norwood 3 now with some diffusion through the scalp. I want an image change. I am considering getting a grade 1 clipper cut round the back and sides and a grade 2 on the top.

Does anyone have this haircut? I'm hoping that the fact the back and sides are shorter will make the diffusion on top less noticable. Is a grade 2 the best option for a norwood 3 hairline or will it make things all the more apparent?
